Media People Are Saying "No Playoffs For Dolphins" In 2013

I'll phrase it this way: Are the Pats concerned (in your view) of the real posibility that we might take the top spot in 2013?
I've been roaming Boston.com on their forums and the Pats fans there seem to think they won't miss a beat. I think that is a little optimistic being that Brady hates seeing his security blanket leave(see Deion Branch 6 something years ago). They picked up Arrington but I don't think he is anything special and have Abraham and Freeney up here for visits but nothing is certain

We were semi-close to being in the playoffs last year. Now we're stacked on playmakers.

We'll be one of the AFC contenders :brewskis:

I'll freely admit to being overly pessimistic this offseason, but I really can't see how we are stacked with playmakers. I think Wallace is the only playmaker we have.

theres only 3 people in media who don't hate the dolphins. 1. Hammering Hank. 2. John Clayton 3. Jeff Darlington

Darlington and Clayton are pretty blatant Dolphins' fans. lol

And no to answer a question asked, the Patriots aren't concerned, yet. Still very much the favorite in my opinion. They aren't better than the Broncos though.

I'm sure you would rather have McCain or Romney. I wake up and thank god that neither of those men are President.
So rather than ignore the comment for being out of place you follow it up with a political statement of your own. Whatevs. Fins rule

I'm a political junky and a history fanatic. Never mind my baseball, basketball and football cravings. Saying nothing just wouldn't be me. Anyways, moving along.

Regardless of the moves we have made thus far, Tannehill's progression and the play of our secondary in conjunction with our front 7 determines how far we go. What are the board's general feelings about keep Carpenter around? He seems to be regressing to me and not sure he is worth the money anymore

I find it disgustingly ridiculous, that some of you Guys actually care what anyone thinks of us!!! I couldn't care less. And don't even play the "respect" card.If our 'Boys want it......"GO GET IT"!!! Train Hard,Play Hard....."GO GET IT"!!!

before FA started, miami was a 60:1 odds to win the super bowl. they are currently 35:1. quite a big jump.

Tanni's is key...no doubt. I am sure glad we signed Moore. The fact that he is on the sidelines calms me down in the event that Tanni gets hurt - if the s**t hits the fan.

And they didn't overpay for their receiver, but we did..... even though they're basically the same contract.

what difference does that make unless you have an agenda? FWIW, we've got the QB with the arm to feed the beast when it comes to home run passes to the most elite 30plus, and 2nd best 25+ yard receiver in the league since '09. When did you hear that about Sidney Rice or Golden Tate?

I think Miami signed a WR that will open up the running game a bit and give Hartline and company some good solo looks this year. The offense should be improved and Tannyboy will need to produce now that he has some weapons.

The defense lost 3 good starters and replaced them with two middle aged prospects that could turn out to be average or great at this point, time will tell. Our CB's are a mess right now and not ready to cover most good college offenses. Our S's are pretty solid as a unit. I really think that Jones will have a big year and Clemons should play pretty consistent with few mistakes, but he will not make the big plays to change a game. Our front 7 is looking really good right now and could improve with a few minor adjustments from the draft.

I think Miami will have a chance for the playoffs, but if they get a ticket it will be a short ride. We just don't have a secondary to stop the passing game of today when facing great teams. Our offense would need to see Tannyboy explode as a legit star type QB play for us to go deep. I'm just not sure if that can happen this year or in the future. He surely shows some flashes of great play and appears to be great on blitz packages, which is a huge step for any young QB.

I do not think we will be a Top 10 pick come draft day for sure. I don't think we will have a Top 15 pick. I do think we will be in the middle of the pack and beat some great teams this year! It is possible for Miami to turn the corner and get back to 10+ wins a season with this young group of players.

Fair enough. I am all those things as well - just on the other side of the isle since I've experienced Euro-style socialism first hand - so I guess I couldn't help myself either. Asa for RT, agreed it all depends on his progression, which I'm confident of.

Well, you can always rely on Vegas to lay it out as it actually is. Money don't lie. Never mind the TV talking heads

...also, there are plenty of times where late round picks shine in the NFL so let's not forget such a possibility happening in our case this draft. (I am going a little off topic here...just making that point)

lol who cares about what the media thinks. It's just like me and you about our opinions. It's their OPINIONS, not facts. Remember when they said we would go to the superbowl because we aquired Daunte Culpepper? lol, ridiculous. But its just their opinion. That's it that's all.
