Titans game tickets were floating in the sub $20 region that Sunday morning.
I am thinking we would of saw that happen this week but there are likely enough fans willing to make the 3-4 drive from the Tampa area to keep them stable in that $40 area.
the zone read scrape and fill was horrendous
I have a feeling the downward trend with the d is gonna continue
That was the worse coached second half by a Dolphins defensive coordinator since I can remember . . . .and that is saying something. The first time all year I really felt Burke was "not ready".
I saw Vance make adjustments all year last season with far lesser personnel. Burke's teams just come out flat and unprepared. Maybe the defense is just overly depressed by the poor offense but if that trend continues I don't see how you can bring him back.
And going back to Gase, god how on earth do you tell Cutler to throw on first down at his own 20 yardline with 50 seconds to go in the first half, down 3, against the #1 defense in the NFL, on the road. Carolina only had two timeouts . . . Half was over. He completely botched any hopes with that stupid decision. That isn't something I try with Tannehill, let alone Jay Cutler.
You either run the ball or have some secure dumpoff to sniff it out and likely get to halftime.
Gase can crutch the QB this year, but it doesn't excuse the fact that he has been piss poor as head coach and playcaller this year. He seriously needs to decide on one function or the other.
I could have understood calling that pass play if,Cutler had been throwing well. But, after seeing his previous body of work that game . . .
Well thats just it. That is not Aaron Rodgers back there and thats not an offense that has shown to do something like that with any type of consistency. Just a dumbfounding decision . . . One that clearly displays the weaknesses of having Gase as the OC and the HC.
you make a lot of good points in your post and i appreciated your perspective.
on this however, i had to respond because i made this point earlier in the thread.
this argument about ed reed and so forth carries weight in college, but not the pros. these are grown men with lots of money and they'll do what they please. football is the ultimate team game. if you have 10 bad apples you are doomed.
it even extends to the coaching staff. (forester).
the only way to combat it is a superman at quarterback who demands respect and hard work because you don’t want to let him down, and his ability is such that it can overcome shortcomings. or, a superman at head coach that does the same.
this is what gase was referring to in his press conference a few weeks ago when he said it starts with our best players having to take it home and own it.
yes temptation exists everywhere but it’s amplified times 100 in miami. very different than seattle, denver, boston, pittsburgh, or some of the other recent successful franchises.
i just think this will be an unwinnable battle unless we get that qb like a manning or brady that can demand hard work on and off the field.
looked to me like kiko was making calls pre snap at the los and the dline wasn't getting them thus all the guys not in the right gaps
Welp tickets are under $30 and dropping. Hell may end up going at this rate lol
