SI: NFL power rankings. Guess who's number 1?

Of course you could, but Miami is not the team that is being overrated, are they? Look, your team has good talent, and has as good a chance to win the AFC east, as the Pats and the Dolphins, but there is NOTHING that shows them getting better from last year when they needed and got help to get in the playoffs.

Miami had problems with the defense last year, so they went out and got a better coordinator, drafted only on defense, and got a top 5 Receiver to help their young QB.

If Miami had been the team mentioned as the #1 team, you would probably be setting records on most posts in 24 hours, to make sure everyone knew, Miami at #1 is insane....well guess what, Jets at #1 is Insane and laughable. :sidelol:

Remember back to last year's preseason predictions? Plenty of people were overrating the Dolphins based on that mirage you pulled off against a cupcake schedule in the 2008-2009 season. Your team spit the bit big-time last year. So now it's the Jets getting all the attention and you Dolphin fans are so ridiculously jealous. Get over it. If you lived up to expectations last year instead of sucking, you'd be getting more preseason love.

The Dolphins have some good players on offense and should score their share of points ... but your defense is a tragedy. "Problems" with the defense last year??? I'd say so ... 8.2 yds per pass attempt last year ... That's what you guys gave up! 8.2!!! That's ATROCIUOS... and dead last in the NFL. Maybe your moves will help out and maybe they won't ... we'll see. But saying that the Dolphins have the same shot at winning this division as the team who had the #1 rated defense last year is silly at this point.

1) we were still ranked behind the pats in alot of polls last year

2) we beat you in 08 to seal the afc east, then we swept you last year

3) plenty of ppl have phins above jets this year, and several say jets are over rated

4) no revis - not as prolific of a D this year

5) we beat you in a shootout on monday night football against your "great" D

6) the jets have and always will be the ugly step child of NY, have sucked, will suck, and never live up to expectations.

7) ha ha

If you put any stock into preseason rankings, you should punch yourself in the face. Talk about a waste of time.

The real waste of time is watching the Buffalo Bills play football.

Teams that control their own destiny going into week 14 and drop their last three games are totally top ten teams.
Great assessment.

Same goes for a .500 squad that was handed a playoff spot.

when did we bring up the 2008 dolphins?
:bdh:11-5 AFC East champs!
Please put down the crack pipe. The delusions are effecting your cognition. Not only did your .500 jests limp into the playoffs last year, but their best player in the divisional matchup was Nate Kaeding.

You had an easier sched in 2008 than we did in 2009, you finished the year w/ 5-6 dead teams. You can't whine about us getting a break for a qtr and a half when you ended the season against dead teams playing for nothing then got smoked in the WC game at home while we won two road playoff games.

You won one, and the Chargers lost the other.

Hard to believe that there is this much debate over power rankings....they can't even get those things right during the season. What makes you think they have any idea what their talking about a month before it kicks off?

So much has changed for the fins, jets and even the bills, nobody knows what any of these teams will do....Revisit this subject around week 6...
