Real talk........

Eddie Jones/Shaq kickouts worked well, and I'd imagine that the Kapono/Shaq kickouts would be the most elite in the league. I mean, that was the problem last year - when Wade & Shaq would get doubled, the kickout guys aside from Posey were very inconsistent. Kapono is EXTREMELY efficient/consistent when open. He's gonna be a beast when Shaq comes back.

Kapono will be a starter if he keeps up this shooting. But Posey is the player that will be the SF in the 4th, assuming he can make his way out of Riley's doghouse. And its very unlikely he is going to continue at this pace, even with Shaq coming back. Odds are by the end of the season Kapono will be back to 10-15 mpg.

I don't know about that. I don't know if he stays over 50% beyond the arch (unlikely), but he will remain high percentage and he's on more than just a streak. He's an efficient jumpshooter, period. This is coming from a guy who called him "worthless" back in November.

When Posey & Shaq get back, what I see is less PT for Gary Payton. Wade will probably play a bit more PG with Kapono seeing more time at SG than he is right now. And, of course.. more than likely we'll see Jason Williams miss about 5-10 more games before the season is over.

1- Williams/Payton
2- Wade/Kapono
3- Wright/Posey
4- Haslem/Walker
5- Shaq/Mourning

That's what our line-up will truly look like, but you'll see Dorell at SG a bit, Kapono at SF, Wade at PG, etc. - I agree about the 4th quarter line-up though. I think that eventually, this group would work best in the 4th (w/Riley back):

1- Wade
2- Kapono/Wright (depending on who is playing better, really)
3- Posey
4- Haslem
5- Shaq/Zo (depending on foul trouble & hack-a-Shaq)

Riley has never really been all that "sold" on J-Will in the 4th Q, situations aside.
 
Back from injury, Wade leads Heat to comeback win

Although Dwyane Wade said he was sluggish after his four-game layoff, he didn't really show it.

Wade returned from a wrist injury and scored 33 points to lead the Miami Heat to a 93-90 victory Sunday night over the Portland Trail Blazers.
Wade, who had 25 points in the first half, helped Miami rally from a 16-point deficit and snap a five-game losing streak.

"It was good to come out and give my teammates some confidence and pull out a win," he said.

But I think I'm gonna stick with this one, and I've got more incentive to because I know the admins are annoyed as hell! :lol:
 
Noone wants Wade as a PG, so its not going to happen. In the last two minutes of a game its fine, but neither Wade nor whoever is coaching wants him to be stuck guarding a quick penetrating PG for any extended period of time.

Good stuff. hey ferret...so Wright swings in at the 2 and plays in the small lineup? Kapono at SF with Posey coming in for him?

personally I think that would work best. Kapono is a shaky passer though...that does concern me. he better get used to sending the pill into SHAQ pretty soon.

The line-up that I posted with Wade at PG was for situational 4th Q purposes only.
 
How much you want to bet that Udonis Haslem is thrilled right now?

I have no idea. It will be interesting to see how the lineup shakes out after (hopefully) a month or so of everyone healthy. Personally I think JWill is the best PG on this team and Posey the best SF and should be the starters, but both have major obstacles to overcome.

Everyone can see the glaring need on this team....Riley must get a PG if the Heat are going to go anywhere. I wish Charlotte would just give up Knight, but it would be tough to do now since his value must be pretty low. It is in the best interests of everyone....Felton playing the two guard spot is hindering his development.

It would be great to get a young PG but its not going to happen. There isn't even any good PG coming out in the draft this year. Its sad to see but I think JWill is finished. Tendonitis isn't something that goes away or can be fixed. The void will have to be filled.....hopefully Riley will do it sooner than later.

How would you guys feel about Steve Francis if he's bought out?

Pretty much the Corey Maggette version of a PG as a scorer........
