The Official WWE/TNA Pro Wrestling Thread

Hey it's better than in 2001 when the WWE had about 10 titles (WWE World Title, WCW Title, IC, US, both Tag Teams, Lightweight Title, Crusierweight Title, Hardcore Title and European Title) that were changing hands almost weekly to the point where it was almost impossible to keep track of who was champion. That kind of thing hurts the actual championship if people win it every month or so. You need long title reigns to make the titles mean something.

well then, here's to Hornswoggle having a long, dominant reign! that way he can restore the prestige to the title that has been sorely missing.

and once he has done that, maybe they could bring in David Arquette to beat him for the strap. :goof:

Backstage before the 7/2 show, Vince McMahon held a meeting in which he basically told everyone to "immediately" get off whatever they were using, which was presumably a call to cycle off steroids and growth hormone.

There have already been some noticeable physique changes following Benoit's death, although there are a number of factors that tilt some influence away from McMahon's comments.

Among them are the fact that supply is likely down, due to a well-known human growth hormone supplier getting busted and the possibility that doctors, in the wake of Dr. Astin’s indictment, are probably becoming more careful when it comes to issuing prescriptions. Voluntary choice to get off such drugs is also a possibility.

There also exists that possibility that drugs have not played a major role in the physique changes. Grief over the Chris Benoit tragedy could have caused wrestlers to miss workouts or adopt less nutritious eating habits, both of which could spark losses in muscle volume and definition.

The internal estimate from various sources is that "half" of the locker room has had a noticeable muscle shrinkage within the past two weeks.

I wonder if his son-in-law has to "gett off whatever he is using" as well. Or if the rule doesn't apply to him

The JACKASS bunch won't be at SummerSlam in any type of match.

The match vs Umanga is now OFF!

That's an excellent question. The last time HHH came back from a serious injury he came back jacked as hell (even more so than before).

Unless they went on a water diet and totally gave up working out I doubt you'd see a drastic difference in 3 weeks time. I'm sure most of them are feeling the stress though.

it was gonna be all of them. Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, the midget, etc...

But Knoxville backed out and then the WWE scraped the whole idea

it was not a good idea in the first place. 6 years ago when the show was popular, maybe for publicity. Now, when noone cares about them, no.

STEVE-O has a new show starting on the USA Network starting up soon that airs right after RAW.

So it was cross promotion for both. That was how the idea started

-- The test results of Sherri Martel's toxicology report could take about a year to come out. The reason for this is because Alabama's Department of Forensic Science had their budget slashed and they're about a year behind on things.

- I've heard from one source that a 7ft. 3in., 500lb. wrestler to go by the name The Mighty Biggs will be debuting for the WWE RAW brand this Fall. The source says the character will have a rapper sidekick with him, Mike White, who is an up and coming rapper and future reality TV star. Apparently White even wrote the Biggs theme song, has already been paid by WWE for it and will perform it on RAW sometime this Fall. No word on who will be behind the Biggs gimmick, but the source says that it is an indy wrestler from the New England area who has had success in the past.

The current plan is to have Randy Orton beat John Cena for the WWE Heavyweight Championship at this year's SummerSlam. The top feud will then shift to Triple H vs. Randy Orton.
