i dont understand why San diego would want to take Culpepper. He wants a big contract and he has a bum knee. Didnt they get rid of Brees b/c they dont want to pay Rivers and Brees big contracts. doesnt make sense at all if anything they are better off keeping Brees.

Brees will NOT go to New Orleans. Here's why:
1. Benson, their owner, is notorioulsy cheap
2. THey are basically a homeless team, which maybe in NO or San antonio next year
3. They have a severe lack of talant compared to us
4. Brand new and somewhat questionable coaching staff
5. They will draft Leinart or Cutler
6. All of their top FA's a rumored to jump ship
7. THE FREE AGENT PERIOD HASN"T STARTED YET!!!!!!! If they offered a contract and other teams could prove it they would be penalized.
8. Lastly, the infamous "Un Named SOurce" rears his ugly head again. That alone teaks away 95% of the rumors validity.
Don't worry, we'll get our QB and it will be Drew Brees.

I totally agree. No matter how much money..why would anyone want to play for the Saints after they are going to lose their top center and a devasted area where who knows what might happen again by mother nature. Oh and another thing...Miami has 100000x's better chance of getting into the playoffs and then be super bowl contenders than the Saints. Going to the Saints would be a career killer....

Brees would be making one of the biggest mistakes of his career if he choose NO over Miami. I feel sorry for the city and its great they are gonna have football in NO again but they are no where near being a contender at this point. And Detroit they shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath. I don't care who they get to coach they aren't gonna go far either. Miami would be his best choice if he wants to win now and keep winning in the future. If it is about money then we all know what he is really looking for and he doesn't care about the quality of the team he is gonna go to.

Exactly. Alot of this stuff is scare tactics put out by teams and owners. Either trying to drive up their price or force a team to trade them.
