John Elway can't fix himself or anything else. He has to have new working parts for his teams. He develops nothing. How come John Elway, one of the greatest QB's of our time couldn't help work/fix his mechanics.

Even if he could have done it - it is not the GM's job to coach mechanics. I seriously doubt he has much coaching ability. Being a good athlete seldom translated into being a good coach. Many of the best coaches were only average players.John Elway can't fix himself or anything else. He has to have new working parts for his teams. He develops nothing.
More like HOPEFUL that he will never see the field.I do think there's a remote chance Gase could make Osweiler decent. But I'm glad he will never see the field
More and more people are beginning to see what poor GM he actually is.
JDW I took the Brock signing view a little different. I got the impression that Adam wanted to make sure that Brock knew that he was coming in to compete for the back up roll, not to be the starter.

I guess Elway had oversight so he should get some credit but the GM who drafted their biggest prize, Von Miller was Brian Xanders. Elways biggest accomplishment was throwing enough money at the right time at P Manning and taking the risk that he had recovered. Other than that, I was not impressed with his hiring of Vance Joseph nor standing by and letting Joseph run Wade Phillips out of town. If Elway's judging QBs, Lynch doesn't look like he's the real deal, whether Keenum is the real deal or a 1 year perfect storm wonder is still TBD. Elway is a smart Stanford guy whose father was a prominent California college coach but that doesn't make him a savvy GM either. I'd suspect I would say the same about Marino and even Montana.John Elway can't fix himself or anything else. He has to have new working parts for his teams. He develops nothing.
I think if Gase said no to Brock, that's it end of story. I'm not sure he could be pushed into something he feels is not right.Oh, no, I think Brock Osweiler is putrid. When we signed him, and based on what Gase has said about him, I assumed he was foisted on the coach by the front office and figured he'd be cut in camp.
I just think Brock is too tall to be a beast QB - may wind up being a good back up though.
It's like tall RB's, it just doesn't seem to work out well…(besides Eric Dickerson).
Hey, you know how I feel about Osweiler, but I thought Gase was pretty upbeat about him yesterday, in contrast to how he sounded about the signing previously.
I have zero expectations for him even making the roster, but if the light goes on and he gets some things cleaned up mechanically, he could be a high quality backup.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but let's give Brock a chance.
A 2 at 10 is a 10 at 2...Haha, even the ugly chick at last call impresses some desperate sucker to take her home. Let's hope we don't have our beer goggles on.
Larry Csonka, Franco Harris, Jim Brown and Marcus Allen would like to be added to that list.I just think Brock is too tall to be a beast QB - may wind up being a good back up though.
