Schefter: Dolphins Will Rebuild Lines In 2019; Are Eyeing A Top Ten Pick And New Qb In 2020 Draft

Right call IMO. I wouldn't mind at all trading down if we can pick up some additional 2020 picks.

I like the idea of moving down even if it's just for more picks in 2019. I don't think we'll need to move up for a QB in 2020. I'd bank on a top 3 pick unless they do something stupid like keep Tannehill/sign Flacco.

If we can pick up an extra second round pick that would be ideal. Pull off DE, CB, G, & LB/DT in the first three rounds. Get your QB at #1 overall in 2020.

Deliver us, Fales.

I think it is way too early to know if we should move up or down for anyone. lol

The saddest thing about this “news” is that it’s probably true. We have to be the dumbest franchise in professional sports. We have the 13th pick, but let’s tell everyone we have no interest in drafting a QB in 2019.

Ya, leaking this to media makes no sense whatsoever. What do they get out of it?

At this point in time, I dont expect anything relating to team building strategy to be true... They're not going to tell everyone what their true plan really is...
But this isn't coming from the team it's coming from people who have spoken with coaches we've interviewed. They would be given the honest plan.

Please, please, please. It's waaaay too early for the "smoke screen" talk. I can't handle it yet
Why then is it the first thing to cross my mind?

Actually, I'm fine with, and expected exactly what the article portrayed as a general plan. These situations are some what dynamic though.

Amazing report!

Any of us could have said the exact same thing -- I mean it's pretty obvious

we need attention on LOS and golly who knew about this 2020 class!
Common sense is masquerading as breaking news.

You guys thinking we are letting some magic cat out of the bag???

Please, the only thing newsworthy is the fact that there really is some semblance of a feasible plan spanning multiple years. More, or less confirming what many already assumed as this timeline moves forward.

I'm not saying it isn't a smoke screen, im saying I'm not ready to see that word be thrown around yet

Need to stop calling it a rebuild.....in order to rebuild you need to have built something first which we haven't done in 4 decades

Hope this is true and hope it's the real plan. Means we can not start tannehill, we will win 7 or 8 games with him and just miss top 10 like we usually do.

They don't have one. I'm tired of thinking there's some masterplan. Most of these people, especially Ross, are just flying by the seat of their pants.
