Much of this is what I assumed had happen.

The academic side is what really irks me and I am glad to see it starting to get fixed.

There are things I didn't like about Willie's first season...one was him being the play caller. At least he recognized that as being an issue and is allowing Briles to run the "O". 8 wins this season would be a move in the right direction and slowly bringing in his players. IT does seem like they are going to give him the 4-5 years to establish his program.

I never liked Jimbo. I am thankful for the national championship but i just never liked him. He always seemed like such a smug asshole.

He's actually pretty powerful too. They showed him doing some work this summer and I was surprised.

Some people are just naturally strong despite not being overly muscular. I think he's a great kid and has been really patient. Time to unleash him on the ACC!
 
Some really good stuff going into the season...

1. Noles will wear only two uniform looks...Garnet tops and Gold bottoms at home and all white away...Gold Helmet all season...will give the team the traditional look!

2. No more backpack...NO MORE BACKPACK!

3. This is James Blackman's team, he was not only names QB1, but the team voted him as a captain. FOr a kid who watched videos of Tom Brady because he didn't have a QB coach, he has come a long way. Great kid.

4. Willie not calling plays!

5. True FR RG Lukas is getting the start, seeing this will hopefully lead the Noles to sign more premier o-lineman if they think they will get the chance to start as a freshman.

6. UM and Florida both looked pretty rough the other night.

Excited for the season...8-4 would be a really nice step in the right direction...

Also, top 10 recruiting class at the moment.

Thank goodness, no more backpack! I'm excited to see Briles run the offense, it should be much better. I look for Blackman and Akers to really shine.

Yea FSU we played sloppy with tons of penalties and mistakes but still should have won. Starting 2 freshmen tackles and a red shirt freshmen QB who had not seen the field before did not help

You guys knock off Clemson and I'll be happy

I don’t expect much from the Florida State SemenHoles this year. Garbage QB with a garbage HC. :chuckle: :guard:

I doubt that happens, but I feel better about our chances to beat UF this year. 8-4 is the goal...we have a top 10 class right now after going 5-7, I can't imagine the positive impact a winning season will have on recruiting.

Fortunately, we get you in Tally this year, would be great if both teams were ranked by that time to add to the interest of the game. Realistically, you could be headed into that game with the one loss to UF...
 
The way Clemson's passing offense looked last night the FSU game isn't a lock for me anymore.

TL played bad for his standards. Hope it's game 1 jitters.
 
Only less than a half of football, and I’m pumped. Think about how unprepared and soft this team looked against VT week one last year. And the Hokies didn’t even play very well themselves.

The speed I’m used to seeing from FSU is back. We’re protecting the ball and forcing turnovers. Akers looks like a beast but more importantly...

The offensive line looks freaking awesome compared to the last few years!! Blackman looks like a different qb when he has time to throw. Hope they seal the win.

Also, I’m usually in the FSU forums but I lurk here and appreciate everyone’s posts in this thread. Good football minds on finheaven
