Well, that was actually a pretty entertaining football game. If you can detach yourself from rooting for the Dolphins, that was a good football game.

- Xavien Howard's ridiculous two picks at the end of the first half really kept the team in the game, but the fumble by Mike Gesicki denied Miami a chance at momentum.

- Ryan Tannehill is clearly not 100%, but even still he was a big improvement over what the team got from Brock Osweiler the last couple of games.

- My number one complaint about Adam Gase today was the decision to punt in the first half on a 4th and short when Miami had the ball on the Colts' side of the field. I know fans love to yell "Go for it," but I really do think that coaches should go for it more often in that situation. On this particular matter, both analytics guys and emotional yahoos can agree: Go for it, coach!

- No, I take that back. My number one complaint about Adam Gase was the decision to call a screen pass on 2nd and 10 with the Colts coming hot and heavy late in a tie game. Not only are the Dolphins being called for OPI on that play with some frequency, but it hasn't exactly been setting the world on fire with Kenny Stills blocking in front. Enough, Coach. Please.

I honestly think Coach Gase would marry the thematic concept of the screen pass if it were possible for him to do so. I don't think that's legal here in the United States, but maybe Japan? France? Sealand?

- Much is made about the Kiko Alonso penalty on Andrew Luck that extended a touchdown drive. Here's how I see it: Alonso had committed to making a tackle on Luck, who is a big physical player who has made a habit of trucking unsuspecting defenders in the past. Luck waited until the last moment to slide and essentially baited that penalty.

Alonso tried to pull up, but obviously was not able to do so. While that may be a proper call these days, and Alonso may be a guy who plays borderline football sometimes, I don't think it's fair to rip on Alonso for essentially being put in an unwinnable situation there.

What does bother me about that play is that, at some point, defenders will accept the calculus that it is better to finish their tackles in these situations. They are going to be flagged regardless of how they finish it, so why not finish the play? It sucks, but it's the NFL that has put defensive players in these terrible situations with rule changes designed to protect quarterbacks and encourage fantasy football.

- Watching Colts receivers cry and beg for flags every after play was, quite frankly, ridiculous. Guys, just play football. You aren't the Patriots.

- With only three healthy wide receivers on the field, Devante Parker was still Mr. Irrelevant out there. I like Devante Parker and I'm not as down on him as just about everyone else here, but let's be honest: It's not happening.

- Season is over? Season is over. I think it's been over, but can we all admit that now?

Folks, I don't know what to tell you. The Dolphins just aren't any good. They aren't good defensively, they aren't good offensively, they're not healthy, and now it looks as if Adam Gase has simply thrown in the towel.

Typical Dolphins. Pretend they can win for parts of a game, but result always the same. Lose. Ross must go. Franchise needs complete reboot.

Make it stop! There are so many needs that it's difficult to pinpoint where to start. Gase definitely needs to give up play-calling but he needs to get rid of Burke first. See if Fangio wants in. Get Kingsbury. Priorities in the off season should be OL, QB, DL, and WR.

I've been a fan for 10 years and I dont see how some of you OGs do it.

The play calling in the 4th quarter was abysmal. Look, I'm just some knucklehead fan. I know jack **** about football compared to an NFL head coach, but even I know that was a piss poor excuse of a performance from Adam Gase.

10 point lead that the Colts cut to 7 with a field goal. At this point you want to eat away as much time off the clock as possible. Instead, Gase calls three straight passes. We chew away maybe 30 seconds and punt. Bruce Arians rightly called out the play calls from the broadcasting booth.

Then it's a tie game and you're backed against your end zone. Third down and Gase calls a hand off rather than putting the ball into Tannehill's hands. That call practically threw in the towel on the season.

As a result, we punt the ball away and need our defense to step up in a big way with a stop. But we all know what kind of defense we have and it was obvious the Colts were going to march down and ice it.

It's year three and if the light still hasn't come on for Gase, in terms of clock management, then it likely never will. Add that to his stubborn insistence on sticking with Matt Burke when it's clear he's not an NFL caliber defensive coordinator and I'm not sure what to say.

If ref’s are going to call that penalty on X after the TD. Let’s call it the other 10+ times a week that it happens in the NFL.

It was an entertaining game. And as disappointing as the result was, we gave the Colts everything they could handle for 4 quarters. We should have won this game.

I would have preferred to have gone down slinging it on that last series. We need positive yardage plays and we are throwing parallel to the line of scrimmage with the defense up tight, then the run on third and long was a loser mentality play call.

Tannehill played pretty well today considering how long he has been out......big improvement over Brock.

This defense is a mess. I don't agree with all the "blow it up" comments...we have good talent on the back end and a lot of injuries up front. We need help at LB and another pass rusher or two and of course, a better Defensive Coordinator and you have a good nucleus with these guys.

It happened to Carroo on a missed ball but wasn’t called earlier. They need to be consistent.

I’m sorry. I can’t have a coach that refuses to let his team have a chance to win. He doesn’t not play to lose. He plays to lose. I don’t care if it’s Tanny, Brock, fales or whoever, how do you call a run and give up on a drive when you have a chance to win the game with a score? He thinks it’s a bigger risk for your qb who makes millions to try to get a first on 3rd and ten than punting the ball from the five to let the colts win it. He thinks this.

And this isn’t an isolated incident. He does it every game. Every 3rd and ten he gives up and concedes the drive. Every time. He’s literally the only coach I’ve ever seen do this. He stalls as many drives as Dallas Thomas.

I’m sorry. I can’t have a coach that scared. A coach who absolutely refuses to let his team at least try to win. This problem is chronic and I’m over it. Hoping for big changes but it’s ross so I know better

Team played well in all aspects of the game: Offense did some things, defense had turnovers, and special teams had two blocks. The issue? The offense and defense couldn’t finish again.

I was pleasantly surprised they were up by 10 points but new, just knew, that would be impossible to hold that lead because it just never happens.

This is who they’ve been forever. I really feel for the younger kids who are fans. This is all they know (and I’m 37 for **** sake).

No need for me to "snap" as I was expecting us to lose. They actually kept it closer that I thought they would but we were lucky it was that close. The colts pretty much dropped 3 INT's.....the ball was bouncing our way and we still found a way to lose.
