Everything I've read about him points to being a team first player etc. Definitely a bit of a wildcard in this draft. Love his athletic ability.

Akers has a lot of elite traits...excellent speed, runs hard, catches well out of the backfield and is a top tier pass protector. He was stuck in a shitty situation at FSU, poor coaching, constant change of coordinators and the worst offensive line of the power 5 schools. He is the kind of kid that should have a better pro-career then college career, just by being in a better situation.
Akers is also a great kid, 0 red flags, well liked,

He is. I don't think he's good, but the talent is big.
His testing alone will interest someone.
I was already down on this edge class, and things are not looking up at this point.
This draft is loaded with more talent on offense than on defense imo
It's a really bad group. QB, WR, OT, and CB are the positions to target. RB is good, too.
Not only that but we should be trying to build out offense first anyway. I don't want to draft Edge guys high just for the hell of it. If we keep all 5 picks we have in the first two rounds I'd use 4 of them on offense in this draft.
if we can get Epenesa at 18 I think that's best case scenario.

He ran a 5.04 at 275. 2nd Round is his ceiling. I liked him, but that's unacceptable.

10 yard split was 1.81, yea he can forget about the 1st rd and he might have to kick inside in the NFL.
