Well, I understood what you were trying to say.:wink:FinzManiac said:Yes I am harping an awful lot on that 15 minutes, because it was just that...15 minutes. And I was making comparisons to the way he played during that stretch to Dan while I was watching the game...during that short period of time. I even went back and replayed some of the passes he made during that quarter to analyze it. He did an awesome job...but it was what I said it was...15 minutes during an entire season.
Even with your quoting and highlighting you still failed to point out where I said anything about him being a great QB. Was he really good during that quarter? Yes...does that make him a great QB for his career? Of course not...that's just common friggin' sense.![]()
I TOTALLY disagree there. So you are saying that even if you have a pro bowl QB (NOT saying Feeley is, but hypothetical) you do not bring in a solid back up? You need as many good players as you can get. What if Feeley is the answer, and starts the year on fire, only to go down with an injury? Wouldn't you want a dependable back up? Hell ask the Bears how their season went once Grossman went down in like week 3.Roman529 said:I think if Saban was totally sold on Feeley he would not have brought in Gus Frerotte...I think Saban will start Gus and go with him the whole way, and then if we still suck, he will try to draft a QB next year (Leinart or the guy named Omar???),,,,It would be nice to see Feeley play a full year under Saban's system, but I think Saban feels that Gus has the edge, a stronger arm, and more NFL experience, so I just see Feeley backing Gus up this year.
DOLFANMIKE said:His QB rating and win loss records are the ultimate statement for how well or bad he played. So far he hasn't done enough to stay a starting NFL QB. He better get lots better or he wont be anywhere close to starting in the NFL.
Your stance that CK is ignorant in his view based on the argument you take makes you look uninformed. Most people don't think Feeley is anywhere close to HOFer Steve Young as a player. You gave CK a very abrasive response.
Yes I totally agree with you. I think not drafting a QB speaks volumes.Oboy said:I TOTALLY disagree there. He did make a statement on draft day. He basically said he likes our QB's better than anyone else available after Alex Smith was taken. Reports were though that he did want Smith.gofins said:I think Saban summed it all up by not drafting a QB.
Well, let me clarify that by saying losses directly related to his poor play. AJ couldnt win games by himself, and he also was at times the among our worst problems.rickeyrunsover said:Qb rating yes to a degree, w-l is not an indicator. .
If you want to harp on how to interpet other's posts, you should not post such a fallacy as this. So after that 15 min in Buffalo, A.J. did not make one more good throw?:shakeno:SCall13 said:AJ stunk up the field for the rest of that game and the rest of the season.

rickeyrunsover said:Qb rating yes to a degree, w-l is not an indicator. If that was true Jay would be an all-pro. Jay has the third best w-l record of any starter over his span starting. Cant have it both ways, cant say Jays wins are result from defense and then use w-l as an indicator of a qb competency level.
Basically it is subjective on fans part, you cannot criticize ones view without opening yourself up for the return shot. WHy? because stats are not facts, they are numbers, but not the story, they show the result, but not teh cause, they partion blame yet discrminately, indifferent to teh why.
I agree that ck's opinion is not ignorant, to say an opinion is ignorant is wrong. It is diff than what others view is. That is it period. Just like people who say he showed signs of greatness are not wrong, it is their perception and just because you dont agree, doesnt make your opinion superior. Same other way.
