Your not worthy!!!

LOL I will be even more outspoken the next time we trade a 2nd pick for a slug QB, I forgot it wont happen with this staff.

My new resolve, love the fins, dont give the benfit of the doubt. Dont be quick to argue others opinions, listen to both sides. ............Yeah right, what the $!#!#@@#$!#@$%!! fun is that? Its all good cause AJ suks. Now we can agree that unless we draft a franchise qb or luck into a Rivers trade, we dont have a franchise qb.

Mental Toughness, gotta remember that one, Slap upside head.

I too have realized that AJ has some growing up to do. He has to find it within himself to work that much harder..spend that much more time in the film room...spend copious amounts of time learning our playbook

If their is one thing Saban's respects above all else..is determination. He doesnt want excuses. If AJ can work his *** off...if he will work his *** off...he can become a great QB. He has the talent. The boy can throw..pure and simple. But he needs the work ethic. The label of not being a practice player cant cut it..not with Saban.

Its really in AJ's hands right now. They say pressure makes a diamond..well..if he wants to succeed...he'll have to learn to love the pressure.

Ill still hope he can pull it off..but I also realize that the Fins are better off with another right now.

Ya'll can dis him all you want...its your choice to do so. Its up to AJ to prove you wrong..not me.

Got your attention??

Yep, ole AJ shat the bed last Thursday night...and I knew it was going to happen. I actually told someone prior to kick-off that AJ would play poorly, ask BALLSDEEP, I spoke to him on the phone before he went into the stadium. I told him that AJ would play badly because he will try to do too much.

I had hoped that I would be wrong about that but, as it turns out, I couldn't have been more correct....and it's at this point where I realized that AJ Feeley is fatally flawed. One word brings out all the worst qualities in Mr. Feeley, one word buckles his knees like he took a shot from Sugar Ray Leonard. That one word is ...pressure.

Whether it's a DT tossing Seth McKinney aside and coming at AJ like a freight train or whether it's as simple as a QB competition for a starting job, AJ's response to pressure is not fight, it's flight. It's also panic and it's desperation but, it is anything except calm, cool, and confident.

As is the case with evaluating any QB, it's what is inside their head that is hardest to read. The talent is obvious, however, as I've read before, there are many people that can throw a football real hard that are selling insurance for a living or unclogging your toilets and as much as it pains me to say it, I've lost faith that AJ has the head to play QB consistently at the level he needs to attain to be an effective starter in this league. You can't succumb to pressure on this level. It's the one thing that separates the real players from the other ones. The ones that step up and play big in the biggest moments are the ones that make memories for their fans and AJ is more likely to make a nightmarish mistake than to make a cherished mental photograph.

I had planned to give AJ the entire season before I waved my white flag and gave up on him but, I just can't find anything else good to say about him. Maybe he wasn't supported enough by either HC and given a completely fair shot at anything but, he needed to take it upon himself to force recognition from those coaches and he didn't do that.

Maybe AJ will be a good player someday and maybe he might find a situation that he feels comfortable in and performs well and maybe even finds himself in a starting role again but, on Sunday's, if I'm an opponent of AJ, I'm gonna blitz his fool head off, and I'm going to win the game because AJ will never be a diamond under pressure, he'll always be a lump of coal.

Are you ready for the list of people that I was going to swat with my all powerful QB knowledge??
These people all know more than me and most everyone else on the board, about AJ Feeley....Everyone of these people said Feeley was crap from the very beginning and they never wavered.....and I hate everyone of them...:)

Of course...AJ Feeley is the only thing they knew more than me about....:D

AJ still has an entire season however bleak it looks for him to "take the bull by the horns", unfortunately, I'm now reduced to hoping he proves me wrong ....again.

Where did I say that? I have always said that I support both QBs, I just predicted that Gus would win/has won the job.

If AJ was named the starter, I would not have been one of those to b!tch and complain. I would support him too.

All I did was call that Gus would win the job from the get-go.

I don’t ever want to lose fans, but I can honestly say that I don’t want fans that would boo any of my teammates, and that’s something that some fans did to A.J. Feeley on Thursday night.

Eventually, I’m going to have a bad day like A.J. did. Eventually, it will Jason Taylor or Zach Thomas or Chris Chambers having a bad day. Just because a quarterback is more visible doesn’t mean they should get booed for having a bad day.

A.J. might be down right now but he won’t be for long. We’re going to need A.J. at some point this season, without question. Fans should realize that sooner rather than later.

I wholeheartedly agree with your post inFINsible.

I have actually thought the same thing for a long time - I just rarely post.
I tried to give Feeley the benefit of doubt... I made several excuses, I was originally excited when he first came down here (since he was a young qb, etc.)... but after watching him for some time...

When the pressure is on, he folds. It is as simple as that.

He WILL NEVER be anything more then a backup.
Frerrote, is somewhat calm, but he just kinda sucks lol.....
And Sage..well, is Sage - what are you going to do.

Thanks for coming out.

You would never catch me booing any player.

I got mad Thursday night, and I would have had some choice words for AJ Feeley if I was in ear shot but, the next play is always more important than the last one. I cheer for the next play, I don't cry about the last one.

Well it took you long enough but I respect that you admitted you were wrong about AJ.

I just wish you had not resorted to insulting my mother in response to a past post about AJ.

Anyway your passion for the Dolphins cannot be questioned and for that I salute you.
Out of all the replies that have gone through my head regarding your post here....I think I'll go with, "I'm sorry."

LOL. It's amazing to me the amount of glee the fans of this sight take in the fact that Gus has won the starting job for week 1 with Sage being put in the 2nd spot. Everything from the I told you so's to outright mockery of AJ have been a main staple of this site for the last week. I've staid on the sidelines and let the self congratulations run their normal course. But I think one week is enough of this silliness. What have we gained? The amount of current game day talent that seperates the three stooges that are our quarterbacks is about the size of one of Gary Coleman's testicles. Three mirror image statues will roam our sidelines this year each holding on to a dream that they can somehow bottle that magic that has eluded them their entire career. None of our Quarterbacks is effective unless they have a wall of protection in front of them. All of our QBs are reduced to late night comedy routines when the blitz is left unblocked. Do you think we have an offensive line equal to the 2004 Vikings? Do you think we have a offensive line equal to the 2002 Eagles? Do you think Sage will ever see the type of protection he received in the last preseason game with our first string? The answer, sadly is no. The only type of QB that will be effective standing behind our offensive line currently is one that has mobility to which none of our Herman Munster impostors can lay claim to.

Do you honestly believe that Gus isnt going to throw interceptions when he clumsily flushes himself from the pocket believing himself to be the next incarnation of John Elway only to be reminded he is merely the reincarnation of Pat Ryan? Perhaps you think he'll take repeated sacks without somehow reverting to that troubling historical problem of fumbling?

You can rip AJ all you want, but when given time he is probabkly the most effective of the three. It is also true that when given no time he is probably the least effective of the three and there is where your ripping of AJ should be placed. If your argument is we have a sub average line and therefore we need the QB who will do the least amount of damage then your argument can be taken seriously

But if your argument is that somehow AJ is several levels below the other two goofballs or that we should start looking for qbs who couldnt even make third string on other teams your argument becomes tiresome and juvenille

And a bit of warning to all you posters that scour the waiver wire in hopes of finding the next Kurt Warner. Just like Jason in Friday the 13th, you have turned your back on the corpse of AJ, self congratuling yourself that the Feeley is dead but when you look back the body......is gone. Turn around slowly, for if you look real closely, when the moon is full you will find the Feeley monster still lurking on our sidelines and remember my friends, the quarterback you mock today may be the starting quarterback the following week

This is what I was going to say. It dont mean a thing to me though. Its just people spouting their opinions and no one is ever right all the time. It just comes down to the players and whether they execute or not.

When I look at AJ, I see a guy who's head is not all there because he does not want to be there 100%. I dont know about the rest of you, but I watched how Saban was talking to Feeley on the sideline of the TB game. It did not make me feel like he liked AJ whatsoever. From there, all it takes is a mistake like the one in the Atlanta game and thats it, your done.

If you look at Gus, he blamed himself when he could have blamed others. Gus knows what he has to do. Saban knows he is not making costly mistakes but rather not making things happen either, but at least he is getting a leader who realizes he has to do things better.
