Apparently no logo change for us

Do you like, or don't like?

I don't get all the hatred towards the logo now, other than just another reason to be pissed off at the organization. The throwback is about a zillion times better, but it's not like the logo we have now is the WOAT. It's just average, and putting it back to how it used to be pre-1997 would do wonders for the brand.

I say NEW school. A NEW logo should represent that we are moving in a NEW direction. Screw the sun crap! Make it look mean -- think Metallica!

The current logo represents everything that is wrong with this franchise:
* 62-7
* Wannstache
* Runaway Ricky
* AJ Feeley
* Nick Satan
* Ted Ginn
* 1-16
* Fail Forward Fast
* Passing on Brees TWICE
* MEDIOCRITY!
* Jeff Ireland whore investigations
* Stephen Ross' blunders

PLUS, its ugly and looks like a Disney cartoon.

It's time for a change. If its going back to the classic early-80s look, so be it. But this current logo needs to go. It just represents so many bad things...

You're coming across like you're thinking that I'm saying that we should stick with the logo we have now, and I'm not. You're completely whiffing on what I'm trying to say like Adam Dunn with a breaking ball.

I've said we should go back to the throwbacks for quite awhile now. All I'm saying is, if we change our logo, don't make it faceless in the name of being "mature" and "more realistic", because it's a logo for a sports team, not a logo for an encyclopedia entry. We tried for a "more fierce, more mean" Dolphin with our last update in 1997, and we have what we see now. Obviously, as with most "renovations", it got worse. Renovating the logo so that it looks more mean is just going to bastardize it even more, so let's go with what works, the old retro logo.

What about a dolphin holding a rocket launcher and shooting jets.

We definitely took a step forward getting rid of the "sheen" on our uniforms, and going back to the bluish color from the 80s.

The Miami Taliban?

I think Skape is right. The uniform change was bad and coincided with the ringing in of the most awful 15 years (and counting) in franchise history.

There is something to be said for changing these sorts of "irrelevant" details simply for the sake of changing them, the way one employs a palette cleanser. A new stadium in a good location and a return to retro uniforms would be worth another three to five wins a year, easily. Scoff if you wish, but the Bucs, Seahawks and Broncos all made it to Super Bowls shortly after making uniform changes. The Bucs and Seahawks had also recently changed venues as well, if I'm not mistaken.

Wearing a cartoon on the side of your head and playing in a concrete piece of crap wears on the seriousness and dedication of even the best of athletes, to say nothing of some of the mediocre talents this team calls it's "core".

If you're not prepared to receive negative feedback, constrain yourself to only showing stuff like that to people who will tell you what you want to hear.
LOL.....genius once again......boy I tell ya.....I didn't even do the artwork.....some chick did.....I just posted a link I came across by doing a simple Google search......lmao......your attempt at boosting your own ego has failed....twice.....that is all

Another PR blunder for the Dolphins staff.

Now this makes some people avoid buying a jersey until next season.

I didn't need a press release to dissuade me from buying a Nike jersey.

How about this? Less cartoony, old school colors, no helmet.

This is by far the best logo I have seen in any of these threads over the years. Still think incorporating gray would look sweet.

As long as any changes are minor I won't mind.
