As Of Right Now The Dolphins Have the First Pick In the 2021 Draft ?

If Miami ends up when the #1 pick, I'd take Lawrence just to troll the Jets.

It would be priceless.
I believe Lawrence has at least 1 more year of eligibility after this season; Would you be surprised if he pulls a Peyton Manning on the Jets, who are a mess from top to bottom... and goes back for his senior year?

Think positive!
I am.

I'm positive that I don't want to pay 20 million per for an edge that, more likely than not, will underperform the contract.

Those guys want long term deals, with big gaurantees, and up front money.

I don't blame them, but give me an example where that worked out, and I will give you several where it didn't.

Depends how they feel about Tua going forward, but if it were me, I would trade that pick for a kings ransome to the highest bidding NFC team.

That's a lot of jack to leave on the table. An injury, or bad season could cost him multi millions.

I was just asking who might be available if there are no elite edge pass rushers to be had in the draft.

Realistically the Giants and Jets are in a competition amongst new york to secure that number 1 spot imo..

A smart team would take Fields over Lawerence, I've watched Lawerence and I just dont see greatness out of what he does.. He rarely scans the field, Makes throws that will get you intercepted in the NFL, He has just OK accuracy but in all honesty his WR's usually make him look really good and bail him out on 50/50 balls.

If By some act of god we get the 1st or 2nd overall next year and Tua looks bad, Hell I'd take Justin Fields and have a competition between him and Tua. If both pan out to be stars you could have a similar situation to Brees/Rivers the chargers went through. You can always recoupe your cost and more with a highly drafted QB.

I also think the Texans will be a 9-7 team, anyone who thinks that they will finish with a top 5 draft pick are delusional. They opened against the Ravens,Chiefs, and Steelers its going to get considerably easier from here on out for them.

I don't have anyone specific, but in our scheme, I don't think you can limit the search to 4-3 DEs.

Honestly, the same applies to FAs. I don't see them signing a big name, if he hasn't played in a 3-4, or some type of hybrid.

For me the jury is still out on who will be drafting higher, us or them. I think it will be us, to be honest. We might not win a game until we play the Jets. Twice. And then hopefully a few more, but it won’t be many. Either way, we will have some draft riches to wheel and deal. Should be fun. Like next season.

How about in free agency? Some great pass rusher has to be disgruntled, or on a cheap team, somewhere.

Probably a piece in free agency but it won’t be cheap. If you want someone that can actually win vs tackles with consistency.

Someone mentioned judon that would interest me for the right price. We need to hit on something market rate wise the way the packers did with their 2 edge free agent adds. Those dudes have been excellent value additions.

Bud Dupree is another but there’s definitely some buyer beware there and I don’t know that miami wants a more true 34 olb ideal fit in terms of where it puts its money.

All I know is we don’t have anything in house so it’s gonna be games and smoke and mirrors in 2020.

The Barrett guy is a pure pass rusher specialist who explodes off the edge but he’s pretty one dimensional and really pricy on the market I’m sure.

who are the most intriguing possibilities for the draft? (despite the pickings being slim).

I’m still looking for that. I don’t want to waste top 50 picks on guys that can’t win vs a tackle on the outside shoulder. Don’t have outside shoulder win yeah I’m gonna use my asset somewhere else. Or base 43 de types. They are a dime a dozen.

And I’m looking for hybrids that can give me more juice than kvn for example. In terms of the long term future.
