Basement Team?

I don't put too much stock into his comments especially when a ton of teammates came to his defense immediately
We are not taliking cumulative weight but numbers of players which was limited.

your qb play was awful when the tem had a chance to salvage the season. There's a reason you wnet out and got multiple qbs this offseason.

Your run game took off after the season was over

your wrs began to play after your season was over

yes we are about d but we've had decent os that can at least perform in big spots(until late last year).

On paper our o is better than yours as is our d.

You are so full of **** it must be coming out your ears!!

when did Holmes say that? LT(not JT) was not popular when he left SD too, I don't put too much stock into his comments especially when a ton of teammates came to his defense immediately.

I would say that Holmes' obvious contempt for Sanchez at the end of 2011 said it very well. That he was yelling at Sanchez in the huddle during the Miami game and that Schotty benched him for it also says it. The old saw "actions speak louder than words" comes to mind here.

What does LT not being popular when he left SD have to do with anything, especially the topic of this thread? LT played for 4-5 years with Phillip Rivers, so, like Holmes, he actually knows what a good QB looks like.

Finally, why didn't this "ton of teammates" NOT come to Sanchez's defense during the season when Holmes' dissing of Sanchez started? Could it be that they expected Sanchez to deal with Holmes? The starting QB is supposed to be the offensive leader, NOT a follower. He's also supposed to be in charge of his huddle, as in nobody says boo but the QB and the guy who brings in the play unless he's spoken to. This is a serious failure of leadership on Sanchez's part. You can spin that all you want, Junc, but that's what it is.

He was MUCH better in 2010 than 2011 despite the better #s in 2011, he consistently made plays to win games. he didn't do that in 2011.

The whole team tanked, it wasn't a matter of a lack of leadership, it was a lack of quality play.

It is a matter of record that he had a better running game in 2010. He didn't make plays in 2010, he had a better running game and defense. There is no objective evidence that he played better in 2010.

When you say he made plays what can you point to that shows he contributed more. There is no evidence that I can find. His numbers actually look better in 2011. I'm not being sarcastic here - how can you evaluate something that you can't measure? You can't just point to the team success because the obvious correlation for success is between the running game and success not Mark Sanchez and success and there are potentailly many more factors than Mark Sanchez including the defense and other team starters.

Nothing matters until the ball is snapped. If Miami can finally beat Houston week 1 we got a shot at it all. Our D-Line is stout, Buffalo has a good one too will need to game plan for them. Mario is good but not elite. I trust Wannsteadt to screw up, that's why he wears a stache. Thank God the fist pumper is in new york. 52 sacks is way too much to give up, that has to improve. Hopefully the light bulb flashes in Jerry's helmet, if not, we are done. If we have good outings against the Pats there is a good possibility the division can be ours. The Giants had a 9-7 record and finished it out. Conditioning and 2 1pm home games will get the season off to a strong start. Dansby coming in > 20lbs overweight killed us, no skill positions should have hamstring injuries. They need to smoke the guys hard, we got a shot.

That doesnt matter.. It gave Dolfans great pleasure to be able to 1) knock you guys out of the playoffs, 2) cause the in-game implosion of the entire team effectively turning your offensive huddle into a circus show, and 3) starting the domino effect of great negativity and the destruction of your locker room for the next ensuing weeks..
Congrats, I'm glad we made your season but had we won we still wouldn't have made the playoffs.

Except for the little fact that the argument in the huddle was w/ WAYNE HUNTER not Mark Sanchez.

I said tons of teammates did come to his defense when the anonymous player ripped him.

The bottom line is the team had high expectations and they fell short, the QB will always get too much credit and too much blame- he got too much blame.

Then there were more arguements than just Holmes as it is well documented that Holmes and Sanchez argued and that more than one player told Holmes to get off the field. They didnt want him in the huddle, thus leading to the crybabies benching

Kind of like he gets to much credit for 2009 and 2010 from you.

Pure BS!

Jeez, don't you love it when every third thread turns into a pissing match between Jets vs the Dolphins?
