As of now everyone has seen the pics regarding Leinhardt and this good time in the off season.
This situation got me thinking...
Compare Beck and Leinhardt. Would you rather have a QB like Leinhardt who had all the hoopla and the potential coming out of college. OR would you rather have Beck. Given Beck's situation last year, however based off what I've read from posts on here it seems as if he is working very hard to become the best he can. IMO Beck will be better this year for numerous reasons, but I'm not sold on him leading us to the promise land either. Does anyone feel that Leinhardt is the type of QB who could lead a team to SuperBowls? Is he just not working hard enough? And, if given the opportunity would you trade Beck for Leinhardt straight up right now?
Thanks for any opnions or thoughts.

I'd keep Beck. He has obviously shown dedication and determination to be the future QB of this team.

Thats a tough call, but Leinhardt hasent shown much. At this point I would say keep Beck and see where it leads.

Leinhardt wants to be a celebrity not a QB i never liked him. I college he was out a Victoria secret parties while Beck was in like Nicaragua helping others HMMM thats a tough one not to mention Leinhardt gets hurt after a couple hits OH MAN Beck got hit alot last season and look at Carr he keeps getting up after a million sacks hell id rather have Carr than Leinhardt hey Matt either learn to sing or dance or act so you can go to Hollywood parties and be a playboy or GET IN THE FILM ROOM and become an NFL QB GOSH

Beck's shown he's got that same "it" factor while at BYU that some touts are now raving about with Ryan. He's dedicated, smart, hard working with a rapid fire release and an accurate canon. Despite being the #2 All-time QB at BYU, aside from him not a single offensive teammate ended up in the NFL his senior year, while Cherilus, Ryan's LT protector is projected as a possible first round draft pick. Before getting injured, definitely Leinart's shown more although he's probably had more to work with so I guess on the basis of his first year and USC I'd take Leinart, but at this point it would be a surprisingly closer call than this time last year, given the character, maturity and injury-bounce back considerations.

agreed..... until you mentioned Carr. Tough as nails, but not as good Leinhardt.

You're asking a question that's biased. Of course the majority are going to pick Beck. If you asked a Cardinal fan the same thing they'd go with Matt.

Also, who is this Leinhardt charchter? I've heard of Matt Leinart, but not Leinhardt.

In all seriousness, I could care less what Leinart does on his own time. If he can get 10 hot chicks in a hot tub then god bless him. Leinart is and was a superior prospect to Beck in every way when drafted. doesn't mean that Beck won't eventually be better, but there is no doubting who the better prospect was.

I have no idea if Beck is any good and neither does anyone else. There are allot of players who are dedicated and work hard but still aren't good enough to make it. Just b/c Beck has a good work ethic doesn't mean he will be a great QB.

What are you basing this question on? The commercials? I don't know how we could determine how hard he is working without having the same insight / exposure to him as we do with Beck.

That being said, it appears that Beck is a hard worker. Lets hope the effort translates into improvement on the field. Matt L. could be working just as hard for all we know. He gets the opportunity to have his face splashed all over the TV because of his exposure prior to and durring his short (to date) NFL career. I don't know if that translates into not working hard to improve.

Way too much is being made of Leinhart's photos. I love how some one to question his dedication now. Nobody but a homer chooses Beck. There is not one thing that Beck has on Leinhart and Leinhart is younger by two years. He has more NFL experience and will be just fine. Hell I bet some people will say that Beck was better in college than Leinhart.

I would be proud of Leinart. Atleast it wasn't a big bunch of naked guys he was hanging around.
