Coaches will limit Miami Dolphins rookie Dion Jordan for remainder of season

What's the difference?

Look at the production from Jordan, Taylor, Davis, and Thomas that should get you fired! Then toss in money spent on Wheeler and Wallace with how they are producing?

What's the difference?

Fletcher was a zone defense CB being drafted by a team with two all-pro CBs who specialized in man-to-man press coveage. Dion Jordan is a 3-4 outside linebacker on a team that plays a 4-3 defense. Both Fletcher and Jordan were picked as out of position for the team on which they were drafted. Moore was just a terrible pick.

The closer a staff gets to losing their jobs, the more they cling to the mediocrity that they know rather than risk anything unknown. Somewhere, Tony Sparano is still still starting Chad Henne on his fantasy team.

I can not believe some of you. Are you really going to declare Jordan a bust after only a half of a season? The kid was coming off of a shoulder surgery that prevented him from doing much in the weight room. He then re-aggravated the injury and missed a lot of practice time. Can we at least give him more than one offseason in the weight room before we make a judgement on this kid? He obviously is not a finished product yet. I would also like to remind everyone that all three offensive linemen that were taken in the top four spots in the draft are all struggling also and I wouldn't proclaim any of them as busts yet either.

I agree there's no production.so is the comparison that Moore and fletcher weren't productive either? I'm not seeing the linkage

They are all wrong! That's the link

Jordan is not a bust...a bust has to get on the field and play like crap so we know he's a bust. Suit him up and throw him out there. Then we'll know.

If I were jordan I'd ask for a trade. He's unfairly being labeled a bust when he hasn't had a chance to really prove himself. This coaching staff is ridiculous, what a waste of a pick. Hell if you were never gonna start the kid I'd have rather taken a lineman. At least he'd start and make an impact all year.

Maybe Jordan can play Tight End?.....Ireland and our coaching staff must think that having a Tight End is just a luxury. You see what New England does with Tight Ends and than there is the Phins. :rolleyes2:

From what I've seen of him it looks like Jordan just isn't very good, especially when forced to play the run. He has shown flashes of pass rush ability but he gets shut down most of the time.....and he's always fresh and rested when he rushes the passer.

I can't say I disagree with Coyle. They see him everyday in practice and he apparently isn't strong enough against the run as a DE at this point in his career. Hopefully he gets better, like JTaylor did.

They also saw R.Matthews everyday in practice. Further I'm of the opinion our "Ends" are to small/weak to play in this league. This isn't the first time teams have decided to run right at the edges against us.

I think in all fairness to Dion, his utilization, his role on the team and the DC.... Dion was probably intended to be brought along as an initial pass rushing specialist that could help close out games when the opposing team was trailing.

Let's all think about this.... if we we WINNING most games in the 4th, Dion's roll and impact on this team would be much more evident and flashier than it has been. Having a fresh pass rush guy who can play just about any position in the front 7 is a great neutralizing force to offenses running the no huddle and passing every down to make a come back.

When you are trailing in almost every game, pass rushing specialists don't get to see the field much. And tend to be dead weight in the rotation.
