Normally I would agree but I think if you look at his entire career, Cam Wake has frankly been a bargain for us in terms of production per dollar. So as loyal we've been to him, he has been doubly so to us. The only place it hasn't worked out is in terms of championships.Cam has been a rock for the Dolphins. But he's also getting paid $9 million this season and he's going to have the lowest sack total he's had since his rookie year in 2009. Not sure why people think that loyalty to a player means you release him so he can play elsewhere. Loyalty was signing him to a big contract when he was 36 years old knowing he wouldn't be playing worth the deal by the end.
he’s one of our best players though!
most players only have one loyalty, the paycheck. Anyone with a brain knows its far better to take a lower paying job where you're happy and closer to family, than a higher paying job that you hate.
But apparently someone forced NFL players to play football and take those risks involved in it (lol), so they go where the money is even though most of us average joes will never have half what they get lol.
We are a 6-6 team, there is no reason for us to give up massive dollars for anyone on this team. Even Howard, he is a good CB, but we are 6-6 with him and he got torched by Hopkins from the Texans. Learn from the Patriots, quality players at average prices are far better than 1-2 elite players and everyone else being a nobody.
If Wake cares about the FIns, he will stay.
