Dan Marino has betrayed us all.

First, some facts...........

FACT:
Wayne Huzienga has always loved Dan and has showed him so with all the stock tips and business opportunities he has hande number 13.

Wayne offered him a plum job that was a stepping stone to the presidency of the Fins and possible ownership.

DAN MARINO turned all that down for what?

Money............plain and simple............He didn't want to work 10 and 12 hour days for half the money.

He would rather have a few million more dollars so he can buy another condo in New York.

This is a betrayal of Wayne by Dan........plain and simple..........

Speak for yourself and not "US ALL."

You're making some assumptions there which we've seen no proof of either way. Next time say, "Dan Marino has betrayed ME!" if that's the way you see what happened.

I guess getting beat up and pummeled 4 months out of the year for 17 years in a row, is not working for a living?

He never took a beating........use that argument for Bob Kuechenberg or another lineman...........

Aikman took beatings............Danny just had one major injury in his whole career and he wasn't even touched (freak accident).

Now everytime I see Dan's mug on TV, all I can think is, "Hey, there's the figurehead!"

I for one questioned the sanity of dan taking the Job in the first place. He's got it made on TV. Bunch of money, little work. You want to give that up to work 50 hours weeks.

that proves the flakeynes of this argument. "he was lazy" yet left an easy job for a harder one.

ANd now, he didn't want to sit around and be a figure head. , that's the exact reason he quit. He didn't want to sit around and be a firgurehead, he wanted to actually work. That's admirable.

that's a good song from The Cure btw...Danny would love it;)
It's off their Pornography album

This "figurehead" argument is getting old...............What part of "stepping stone to the presidency and future ownership of the team" don't SOME of you understand?

I higly doubt the legitimacy of your statement. I guess playing as a QB for 17 years you have the luxury of avoiding sacks and knockdowns from 300 lbs linemmen...

Sorry for the sarcastic remark...;)

[EDITED]- Dan was sacked 289 times in his career, plus numerous knocked downs (probably 2 as many as sacks).

Was that stated by Wayne or Dan somewhere? Cuz I sure didn't see it. I saw some people THINK that's what was going on...nothing else.

even if that was what was intended, for the time being he was just watching, with no power, making him a figurehead in transition prior to becoming president in a couple years.

I for one understand it. Just some comedic relief. I've heard figurehead so many times that it's just stuck in my head now.

All joking aside, I AM seriously concerned about this team. :nono:
