Dansby not happy with Dolphins’ decision to dump Chad Johnson

I'm telling you guys I think there's a very bottom line-oriented aspect of this whole thing concerning the fact that she had physical wounds which were obvious and required hospital care, and she gave sworn and taped evidence against Chad right away.

That really and truly might have been the controlling factor in all this. Chad Johnson has been on probation for domestic violence before. If they go to court and it turns into a pure he-said/she-said...with his argument being she headbutted him and cut herself, and her argument being he headbutted her, and she's the one with wounds while he doesn't have a scratch on him...this is not going to go well for him. And the fact she's already given sworn and taped evidence means the prosecutors can roll forward whether she cooperates or not. And she's given every indication of her willingness to cooperate.

Actually, ESPN did a fair job in reporting it:

"I hate that we didn't stand behind him," Dansby told WMEN-AM on Monday. "I know the guys in the locker room would. But the organization felt a totally different way about the situation, and they probably had more information than we know. And they had to do what they had to do."

WOW...I am shocked. Absolutely shocked. Thank you for pointing that out.

most of the players that have been asked have not been happy about it. This negativly affects the morale of the team, even though it satisfies the blood thirst of the coach potato's on finheaven

Boy i sure glad the whole country gets to see this play out tomorrow night on Hard knocks. :rolleyes2:

the decision became too easy when the chick said she wanted to press charges and walked out with a head wound...too easy

Well first off Rasheeda Watley has nothing to do with Evelyn Lozada and I think you know that. I think you know the "one b!tch be crazy so all b!tches be crazy" argument doesn't hold much water. I think you know that.

Second, Lozada has more money than Chad. He says so all the time. He talks about her giving him his allowance and whatnot. She's richer than he is.

Stu Weinstein is just as good as they are and probably better connected, locally speaking. Dolphins had no obligation to wait for Roger Goodell to conduct an investigation.

My point was people can and will lie to get ahead. Just researching Lozoda last night I am not surprised by this and let's just say I would not be surprised by anything. She is not a rational being. As far as Stu and his connections locally I think we both know less then 24hrs after the incident you can't get much info. As it stands right now he hasn't been charged remember inn Florida as arrest is a complaint and only a State Attorney can file a charge.

Or it eems Dansby wants us treat CJ like the war in iraq, keep going back even though it's not benefiting us and it's setting us back.

Joe Pa had over a decade to come clean and didn't the Freeh Report uncovered way more then 3 strikes

Stories tend to be different when you know the WHOLE story.

I'm listening to the interview.

First off for context, Dansby answered a bunch of tough questions about their performance Friday. He said they didn't execute, they need to work hard, etc. Rosenberg even pushed it and said it seemed like on Hard Knocks we have all these things to be optimistic about Garrard having a good camp, Chad Johnson, the team looking good in practice, then suddenly Garrard's injured, Chad Johnson's arrested and off the team, and they go out and suck in the preseason game. Karlos took it, said they need to do better. He never pointed out that it was meaningless preseason action, said that even if it's not a meaningful situation they need to play better and prove things to the fans.

On how much of a distraction it is for a football team that was already trying to get past Brandon Marshall being traded to Chicago...he made it clear he disagreed personally with the situation. He's upset. His belief is that a guy should get a 3rd strike, that the organization should have stood behind him just because it was so out of character for Chad to end up in this situation. He wasn't ranting. He wasn't saying anything bad about the people that made the decision. He disagreed and said it's his personal opinion.

And you know how he finished it? And I guarantee this doesn't make it into ANY of the media reports about it...

"But the organization felt a different way about the situation, and they probably have more information than we know, and so they had to do what they had to do."

Is that really insubordinate? Come on, fellas. I think there's room for being reasonable about this, even on a message board.

Just look how many times Rasheeda Wately changed her testimony on Marshall, and then through her attorney tried to extort money from him to go away. I am not saying Lozoda is doing this, what I am saying is people become predatory for money and a reality show fluzzy bears some looking into. Now I am no forensic expert but I am ruining a head butt that causes a 3inch gash would do other damage. I am still searching my post it just takes forever on my phone.

Have you watched the special ESPN did on Marshall?

You can see and hear more than enough evidence on there to put that entire situation in perfect focus. They aired the 911 police call with her on the phone in a cab where Marshall is attacking the cab with a brick.

Chad didn't have any markings on his face to indicate he was attacked in any way. I am pretty confident that if she had attacked Chad he would be all marked up, he had NO injuries at all.

To say that you are 'No forensic expert' is actually pretty funny. ;) :chuckle:

And CJ has had his fair share of "strikes" over the last 10 years too. I'm not comparing their crimes. I'm just saying the 3 strike method is BS, it gives too much leeway for these players to keep doing stupid things.

I have even said I would have cut him but I would have waited for more facts and by doing that the locker room would be ok. Philbins comments "it just wasn't a good fit from the beginning" says it all! He didn't want Chad and Chad have him the reason to cut him.

people i'd like to headbutt:

1. saban, for not getting brees or rogers.
2. sparano, for excessive, inappropriate fist-pumps.
3. omar, for being the biggest no-talent hack on the planet.
4. wanny, for starting the sucking dynasty, and not shaving his stache.
5. tebow, just because.

Why do these athletes always have an excuse?

"he didn't get a third strike" - bitch WTF do you need 3 strikes? You can't be a normal human being and do right?
He loves football its his life - well if it is tell him to man the **** up and not buy condoms while married for other reasons.
