I'm telling you guys I think there's a very bottom line-oriented aspect of this whole thing concerning the fact that she had physical wounds which were obvious and required hospital care, and she gave sworn and taped evidence against Chad right away.
That really and truly might have been the controlling factor in all this. Chad Johnson has been on probation for domestic violence before. If they go to court and it turns into a pure he-said/she-said...with his argument being she headbutted him and cut herself, and her argument being he headbutted her, and she's the one with wounds while he doesn't have a scratch on him...this is not going to go well for him. And the fact she's already given sworn and taped evidence means the prosecutors can roll forward whether she cooperates or not. And she's given every indication of her willingness to cooperate.

WOW...I am shocked. Absolutely shocked. Thank you for pointing that out.

Actually, ESPN did a fair job in reporting it:
"I hate that we didn't stand behind him," Dansby told WMEN-AM on Monday. "I know the guys in the locker room would. But the organization felt a totally different way about the situation, and they probably had more information than we know. And they had to do what they had to do."
