People like big splashy plays like the Marino years but fail to realize we won both super bowls with a slow moving ball control offense and great defense.

And tua is 2-0 vs bellichick !!!1-0 baby!
he looked fine executing the plays that were called.I gotta say, the kid looked solid…but our scheme kinda made it easy for what they were doing between the 20s…and he mostly avoided X.
That and we weren’t stellar in the pressure department.
It's so soon to tell. I think that system will continue to evolve around Jones and what he does well.he looked fine executing the plays that were called.
i didn't see anything that looked like he was a world beater QB.
i totally agree. It's so soon to tell. I think that system will continue to evolve around Jones and what he does well.
The question will be: As teams see what Jones and NE are bringing to the table, will he be able to defeat what they throw at him, now that defenses will have an idea what is coming?
I think that is part of what made yesterday's win so good....we did not have any true game film on Jones.
if they had our OLine Mac Jones is never named the starter.I just wish we had Mac Jones so that our OL could have blocked better. He would have been dodging pass rushers like Neo in the Matrix.
maybe when Tua wins a SB they will be happy..Watched the game was sure we won in Foxboro against Bellicheat at home but jeez come to this forum and I see so many disgruntled fans.
Sure we need to improve from Tua to the oline to the dline but c'mon man we beat NE on opening day in their stadium.
Does a win not do anymore? Will it not count later on?
Not if he doesn't win by 150 points and throw for half a million yards.maybe when Tua wins a SB they will be happy..
Miami had the #1 ranked offense in 1972 with 27.5 ppg and #5 ranked offense in 1973 with 24.5 ppg.People like big splashy plays like the Marino years but fail to realize we won both super bowls with a low-scoring offense and great defense.
I agree. Jones is getting a lot of love and attention for only scoring 16 points.i totally agree.
but getting the ball out of your hands in .0000000009 milliseconds against a team that isn't really known for its dominant pass rush, and ultimately scoring one touchdown at home does not really merit the hyperbole that is out there at this point.
Don't you bring facts into this, do you know where you're at?Miami had the #1 ranked offense in 1972 with 27.5 ppg and #5 ranked offense in 1973 with 24.5 ppg.
