Dolphins Interested in Veteran QB Matt Hasselbeck

Interesting observation if true... Let's examine the list of veteren (long in the tooth) signal callers to start under this regime...

Chad Pennington
...
...
...

Well, that was a short list, wasn't it?

Please don't allow your ridiculous blind hatred for this regime to fog up your posts. You can hate this regime, and many would back you up, but let's not make up crap to fuel our propaganda. It only reflects poorly on you.

if its true these guys are considering bringing in a matt hasselbeck or a marc bulger on the end of his rope like they brought back a chad pennington with one wing it wouldn't surprise me...i lost all faith in them when they brought back pennys propped up corpse after the 2009 season...

honestly smokin...i feel better about any take i have on a player or football in general if you don't agree with it...makes me feel like i'm on the right track

your sigs take carries more weight with me in the game of football than you do...

Every single time someone disagrees with you, you go straight to the "I know more than you about football" card. Why is that? It certainly isn't true. I don't mean that as disrespect either. I'm just saying that you don't know more about football than most people on this board. CK is the only person on this board that can claim that with any level of truth. But he has never, and will never, say something as arrogant as that.

Sm0kinfins is absolutely right in this case, and you admitted as much in your post. The only QB they did this with was Pennington, and he wasn't at the end of his career. He was either 31 or 32 when we signed him. Not a young buck, but certainly not on the verge of retirement. We then re-signed him to be Henne's back up and mentor, not a starter. So where exactly is this long line of brittle old veteran QBs we keep signing...?

i'm not looking for friends on a message board...you don't like my take...tough...

anyways...i didn't say that this regime has SIGNED nothing but past their prime qbs...the thread title which is usually misleading from the op anyways said dolphins showing interest in matt hasselbeck...assuming that is true he's another injury prone past his prime qb that we are showing interest in to add to penny last year bulger etc...we never learn it seems...that was my point

not that it's any of your business but smokin for a long time hasn't gotten along with me...i felt it was high time i told him what i thought of him for a change

and absolutely no where in this thread did i say anything along the lines of i know football better than anyone...so don't try and put words in my mouth

and furthermore locke... i don't care if you guys eat up cks word like its the gospel...when it comes to matt hasselbeck or marc bulger i'm not buying it

I don't take CK's word as gospel. He is a very well-informed and very objective poster, which is rare on any message board, but especially on this one. I find his posts very informative.

As for Hasselbeck, I had assumed you'd like this news. If we are signing a 37 year old QB, it is almost assuredly means that we are targetting a young QB early. I don't think anyone believes Hasselbeck is being signed as an answer to our problems, but only as a stop-gap and mentor to bridge the franchise until the rookie is ready to play...

why you'd care if i liked the news or not baffles me...anyways...don't assume anything with me...i'd take hasselbeck over bulger but at the end of the day he's another qb at this stage of his career not good enough to get us over the hump...stop gap or not

i'm thru with stop gaps...lost all tolerance for them

I simply meant that I've read your posts, and they are constantly bashing this team for never taking a first round QB. This is a strong clue that this is going to change this year. I don't particularly care what you think personally...

good...cause that goes both ways...if i'm being perfectly honest

Wow... You wanna make it personal because you made a retarded statement and I called you out for it... Did I correct you? Yes I did. Did you make crap up to fuel your idiot agenda? Yes you did. Don't get mad at me that someone was smart enough to call you out for a retarded statement. Here's an idea, don't make retarded statements..

Let me repeat my earlier remark using smaller words so even your slow-kid mind can keep up. Don't make things up. You will get corrected. You will look stupid.

ps. Sentences start with capital letters. Most learned this early on in grade school. The SHIFT key can be found on both the left and right sides of the keyboard. Try it sometime, maybe someone will take you seriously son.

totally off this topic but EVERY football conversation i have with my cousin (we talk a good hour or 2 a day about football) ends with him saying just that. or asking how much football i played compared to him playing JV in freshman and sophmore year of highschool 10 years ago. I find it to be the most arrogant ****y thing you can say. i mean if your mindset is that your knowledge is superior to the person your speaking to then why bother talking in the first place. idk modesty and humility are traits i respect. we got into an argument like 2 weeks ago and it ended with him saying something to taht effect and we havent spoken since.. idk its just really arrogant thing to say.. i mean i read more about football then him by leaps and bounds but i dont say **** like that.. rrrr just irks me really bad i hate arrogance so much

That's some awesome dodging there... Here's what you said.

"these guys love going after long in the tooth injury prone signal callers"

You were wrong and look like a fool. You fail at making your point. You responded by lashing out.

Please, refresh my memory on this long-standing feud you seem to think we have going. Maybe I've replied to a total of 2 of your posts. Maybe. Usually I just read them, roll my eyes and move down the thread, like most here on Finheaven. So please, enlighten me.

(sorry for the big words)
