Dolphins Love DT Jonathan Allen - Our Big FA Fish?

If this wasn't such an outstanding draft at the defensive tackle position, I would support this type of signing.
It’s a tough decision because free agency is on Monday and the draft isn’t for 6 weeks, and you don’t know how the board will fall.

It’s a matter of where do you want to allocate money

In this draft Grier must pick three starters to fill some of the many holes

Getting a little overboard with the injury stuff. Find me 53 guys to make a football team that have played 8 years and don’t have an injury history, it’s a violent game. Hes missed 12 games in the last 7 years, hardly injury prone and just about all of those were last year with a torn peck, it happens. Much different from like an armstead who’s missed that in the last 3 years.

Agreed, its getting pretty ridiculous with these injury comments.

Pass on Allen. Throwing money at guys who aren't the future would be criminally stupid for this organization.

If they don't address the position in this deep DT draft -- also stupid -- and he's still sitting there in the 2nd wave of FA with a much cheaper price tag ... then maybe but still not likely.

It’s a good point about our future

Unfortunately we have a regime on the hot seat and have to win this year.

Us fans lose

They can do both and be smart about it. They can still win with a Campbell re-sign and a good draft pick or 2.

Doesn't have to be 1 or the other ... I just hope they know that and don't go spending more $ they don't have on stopgaps.

Not a great corner draft or FA class. It boggles the mind that Fuller didn't have some trade value and a dead cap hit was the preferred route. I feel like a decent IDL could've been had with a swap. Still waiting for that one to make sense.
