It is a large sum, but don't forget the cap goes up pretty significantly next year. I like the fact that Miami is being proactive and not risking losing an ascending talent.

Similar contracts but one guy is at least a whole tier above the other.

Absolutely.........horrible contract.

Way too much money, like 50% overpaid guaranteed type too much money.

Perhaps a little, however he is an ascending player and one not only pays for production, but also character.

Kid is never in trouble never a problem and even claimed that he and dolphins hadn't really talked about an extension just a few days ago.

Baker is solid and the contract will be a bargain in future years with cap increases, especially if he continues to play every game a season.

$13million a year? Not terrible, hopefully he can at the very least maintain his level of play from last year.

It's more of a 4yr just over 10mil per yr. that's with this yr too.
