The definition of fair weather fans doesn't apply to Dolphin fans since we haven't had much fair weather. Over two decades of bad teams should have earned all of us a medal by now.

Well to behonest it hasn't been 2 decades. We were annual playoff contenders from Shula till Wannys last year.

I know we made the playoffs but I disagree that we were playoff contenders with first round ugly losses. Once the Pats stepped up thier game we faded in the AFC East. It gets old waiting for other teams to get worse rather than expectiong our team to get better but I will continue to pull for the Fins since I have a vested interest. Misery loves company......

how can the op have the right to call anyone fair weather/ band wagoners for complaining? this was one, if not the ugliest performances that i have seen from the fins overall in a ****in long *** time. this game may have even been uglier than any game in the 07 season.

i mean lets think about it. a blocked punt allowed, blocked Fg for a TD, pick 6, kickoff for a TD, rushing TD, and a passing TD. guess when the last time that all happened in one game by one team? o that's right u cant recall, u know why? because its the first time it ****in happened in NFL history. it happened vs us on our turf on prime time, coming off a tough loss at home to the jets the week before. u would think this team would come out and perform well fired up, except henne arguably has his ugliest game of his young career. also, i didn't know Danny woodhead was the next Barry sanders. i guess i don't know as much football as i thought i did.

bottom line, for anyone defending this loss, they need to get a ****in clue. this team not only stunk it up, but quit early in the 2nd half after they scored the td to make it 20-14. i mean it was as embarrassing as it gets.

Back in 04 when we played the pats on Monday night, we were 2-11 vs them being 12-1 entering the game. the season was way over for us and had every reason to play flat and not care. we r trailing by 11 pts late in the game, and Wat does that team do? it ****in comes back playing with lots of heart and gave us all something to cheer about. that was a ****in 2-11 team entering that game we r talking about, vs the defending Superbowl champs, and the then to be Superbowl champs again that year.

this years team plays as poor of a game as they can, coming off a tough loss to the hated the jets the week before at home, and shows no heart. that is why everyone is so ****in pissed and rightfully so. if someone isn't pissed about this loss, i don't like to question peoples fandom, but u must go get checked out because then ull never be pissed about a loss if not this one.

I just look at it as we finally found away to transfer our post season suck to the regular season!
 
OP doesn't understand that after a loss, FinHeaven is SWAMPED with posters. Traffic for the site SPIKES after a loss. For fans to be "fair weather" wouldn't FinHeaven users disappear after a loss?

exactly, this site is a lot more packed when we lose. i had such a tough time last night getting on due to traffic. if we were to be 5-3 after the next 8 games, then this loss would be bad still because now in all likelihood the division is over, but 5-3 would put us in great shape for a run at the wild card. anything less and its going to be extremely difficult to come back, as optimistic as i am considering how good the AFC is this year.
 
if you expected this team to really be better than 2-2 after 4 games you're retarded.
