Fasano calls Dolphans "sick" for cheering for Suck For Luck

I have done things both in my personal and business life that set me back considerably in the short term, but were necessary for long term success, growth, and happiness. In all cases, it was worth it.

Watching the Dolphins suck horribly and then looking on the bright side is pretty easy in comparison to some of the hard decisions I have made.

well said.

A few years ago I was struggling, didn't have anything and lost a lot (you can blame the nutcase woman I was with). All I had left was my vehicle which was worth a paltry $10k at the time. However, I was very good at what I did before that investing a few K here and there and reselling for 10 to 40 X more.

Well , I sold the vehicle to get some bucks, didn't drive for over 6 months. And that really hurt because I really love to drive and it's the first time I didn't have a vehicle in 15 yrs. I hated working the job I had , and taking public transit to and fro made me hate life even more. But to make a long story short, I used that $10k off the car, and saved another $10k in 6 months.. I invested the $20k smartly, and brought back over $250k within a year off that initial $20k investment

This little sports thing PALES in comparison to that year of my life several years ago. This is nothing. NOTHING ! In fact, I am enjoying the losses this year and celebrating them more than ANY win over the past decade. This suck for luck thing is the best thing that's happened to me as a Dolphin fan, and for the Dolphins organization in YEARS.. YEARS ! That Denver game last week was the most joy I've experienced as a dolphin fan in Years. YEARS !

first of all, glad to hear you recovered from what you had to go through with not having a vehicle, and ur wife, etc.

i agree pretty much with everything you said. first of all, like you said, obviously nothing that we are going through in sports actually is comparable to real life crap, i should have said this is the hardest thing i have ever experienced in terms of sports.

secondly, you said you rooted against the fins and enjoyed the broncos win last week. As did I. I was also rooting against the fins, but the point i was trying to make is how horrible i feel.

Like i never could have imagined that the day would come where a dolphin picks up a first down, scores a td, and i am furious just like i am whenever something bad happens against miami in every other year. I understand the cause we are rooting against them for, because we need a franchise qb asap and the best one is coming out in years. that coupled with already being out of contention and sucking, so if your going to suck, you might as well suck the worst.

the thing is, its just real hard not being able to have enjoyment watching my favorite team in sports that i die for and having to root against them. even in every other terrible season we had, whether it was in 04 the pats game, when we were 2-11 going into that pats game, one of the worst teams in football, clearly going nowhere, and i was cheering like crazy for miami, so into it, and it was one of the better fins games i saw. in 07 when it was clear we were going nowhere, i was so depressed still even after the 9th loss, 10th loss, etc, and i was celebrating like we won the Superbowl when we beat the ravens.

This year though, if we won a game like that, or any game, rooting against the fins is just so hard. i understand the reward, its just real hard on myself. its for a good cause though.

I heard the Fasano interview on WFAN the other day living in New York. I too thought it was crazy to honor the Gators as well.

But what about what the fans have gone through the past few years? Calling us not true fans because we are hoping for losses? how about we are true fans because we want to see this thing get turned around? How about the team killing my football season a month into the season? I will be a fan of this team long after you and so many of these players are gone!

This team is in the same spot as four years ago. this will not get fixed until this team gets a legitimate quarterback. If it takes losing the next ten games, then I am all for it.

Fasano stated he was a Giant fan growing up. Will he be a Dolphin fan after he is gone? I dont know the answer to that, but I k now I will be! Fixing this starts with a new head coach, new front office and a quarterback.

I have never really liked Fasano much.

I look forward to seeing Fasano in another uniform.

Just as long as he doesn't play against us. You know with the way we cover tight ends he would have a monster day against us, and then we would have to listen to ESPN talk about it for a month.

It's not the Dolphins I am rooting against...

It's the scrub frauds wearing our sacred Dolphin jerseys

It's the well intentioned but crappy Head Coach

We don't hate the Dolphins. We hate the people who are running our sacred team. And I am rooting AGAINST THEM, against Jeff Ireland and his hooker questions, against Sparano the O-Line specialist who has spent 2 first round picks on OLINE and still plays bad.....against all of them. every Sunday. Get them OUT OF HERE and bring me a new coach, and ANDREW LUCK to don our Jersey. To restore the greatness that is Fins football.

Just for Luck..............
