FORMER DOLPHINS COACH NOT IMPRESSED WITH FINS OFFENSE FROM OTA VISIT

It’s good to know, but it’s also June. If this is still happening third week in preseason I’m concerned.

Your entire concept that a leader has to be a strict asshole is completely false. None of what you said is “fact” and there is more than one way to be a great leader.

Shula often talked about the fact that every player was different…about how you can’t handle every player the same way in regards to coaching!

This was many years ago now…but he understood that about psychology.

This guy was always a loud mouth jerk......it is OTA's in a brand new offense. What do you expect it to look like? Does he understand the purpose of OTA's? LOL

Yes I think he does…and it was only one day, apparently a bad day.

He was calling it as he saw it….that day!

It was the Thursday practice.
soooo.... Great passes made left and right. Not just from omar but most journalists and one's who are more critical of miami than others. Yet he saw it bad. It makes me think he didn't like the confusion or details or being set right away than the big plays and such. Sounds like miami has to work out the kinks, of course, but the big plays are showing up

What was bad? Most other reports said Tua was making nice throws, huge bombs and a good number of completions and a lot better than previous practice. Doesn't make sense

Westhoff talked about this. He said it should still look like a professional setup and that there was no excuse for guys breaking the huddle and looking confused and not knowing where to line up.
You'd normally just write this off as it's OTAs, but it's troubling because it's the exact same thing as last year. We saw this repeatedly during the season. Perhaps it's not the coaching staff but more of an issue with the players in leadership position's ability to lead.

An old retired coach (or official) claims things were better back in his day... big surprise, and water is wet.
Kinda the way I took it as well. I mean we didn't listen to music back in my day or let them have water breaks, how dare they do that now. He sounds like the salty old man yelling at the kids for playing on his lawn.

I am sure there is some validity to the offense struggling...in JUNE, with a whole new coaching staff, and several new players...SMH

Installing a completely new offense and philosophy is not going to be smooth initially. Realistically you’re only looking for improvement throughout the season. Anything that doesn’t resemble last year’s or any year under Flores is good in my opinion. No continuity.
