RIP to a great mentor and man for many players in this league. Tony may have flamed out here for a myriad of reasons, but his players loved and respected him, and always played hard for him. Unlike guys like Philbin and Cameron, I don't remember a Sparano game where they gave up on him. Bill Parcells' brand of football was outdated at the turn of the century, but it's no doubt that 2008 was one of the most entertaining seasons in Dolphins history, and Tony was right in the middle of it, fist pumping away.

RIP to coach Sparano, and condolences to his family and the Vikings organization (for who he was currently working for).
