gordon for gerrard??? has anyone heard about this?

Man I just read this guy has Crohn's disease. Well I stand by what i said. This guy from what Ive seen of him can throw the ball with accuracy. id still want him.
 
No way does J-Ville make a Garrard for Gordon trade. But if it was on the table, we should take it in a heartbeat. Heck, I'd throw Feeley in to sweeten the deal if they got antsy about not having a backup QB.

I'm so sick of the idiotic "lets trade Leinhart" comments. Either we have to trade the franchise to move up to get him (ignorant, ignorant, ignorant) or the more unlikely scenario: we finish dead last in the NFL. Either way, banking on "drafting leinhart" is incredibly stupid strategy. Please stop.:shakeno:

Ignorant ??

Well, lets see...Gerrard was third in line behind Brunnell and Leftwich. How much of a chance, as a young QB was he really going to get there ?? Now he's behind Leftwich and ahead of a few other insignificant guys....

As to whether he could be the Fins future, considering the price we'd potentially give up for him (Gordon, who also has potential, but hasn't proven it here yet...because as this season unfolds, he'll probably be stuck behind RW and RB) I think it could be a pretty good deal, although there would probably be a draft pick involved as well (perhaps us getting back the 5th rounder we gave up for Wright). Could be a worthwhile investment. I really don't know that much about Gerrard, except that he has played well in the preseason and had a decent college career. He's had a couple of years to develop on the bench in Jax...what is so ignorant about that ?

Now, I doubt this move will happen until after RW susp is over, but it is an interesting idea...he could be brought along slowly this year as the #3 guy and given a full shot next year...

It's just not totally out of the realm of possibility since I don't see Saban or Linehan being sold on either AJ or Gus right now...

Crohn's disease does shorten life expectancy, but with the kind of treatment Gerrard would get, I don't think it would impact him from playing in the NFL. Besides, Crohn's disease will be a treatable/curable disease in the next 10 years. IMO.

Getting Leinhart could be almost impossible and signing him could be worse
 
First, I like Gerrard, and in no way do I think JAX would give him up for a second rate RB. Secondly, just want to remind everyone about the last time we signed JAX's 3rd string QB. ruined us for years.

We will not even be close to being able to draft Leinhart, we will be drafting between #18 - 25....no chance, unless we trade up, which Saban has already said he will not do.

Dude if you have a brain please use it. We would have to have the #1 pick in the draft to select Leinhart, which would mean we would have to do worse than 4-12. 2nd we woul have to cut alot of good players to be able to afford next years #1 after what we have to commit to ronnie(which will probably be way too much!) Remember there is still something called a salary cap! This would be a great trade for the dolphins, we'd be getting rid of a player we don't need and adding depth to our weakest position, how in the hell is that a crappy trade?:shakeno:
 
I'd take a trade for Gerrard and give up Gordon plus a backup QB, either Berlin or Rosenfelds or both for all I care...3 QB's on the roster is plenty.

No more dealing draft picks PERIOD.
 
Do you know what kind of trade this is? This is a trade that Wanny would make because of how idiotic it is. We will draft a QB, not trade for another unproven one. Jesus Christ...
 
i'd do it...gerrard is a good qb but is stuck behind lefwich
 
Lienhart wont even be the first QB taken next year, that position will be held by Heisman winner Chris Leak.
