Gus never given a fair shake to start since Washington?.. WRONG

Both Frerotte and Feeley have most likely have gotten as good as they will. Frerotte has at least started in his 10 year career, the exception last year. Frerotte moved the team down the field last night, not to mention dug the team out of after Feeley went down. Feeley didn't move the team, Feeley is almost 30 and he's done nothing at all.

Feeley didnt move the team? Thompson makes a catch and they are in the red zone... How is that Feeley's fault for not moving the team?

Anyway, all this arguing is a bit tedious.. Lets just see how the preseason plays out..

I just put this info out there to display that Gus is not this "Knight in shining armor" that many of you seem to have annointed him to be.

This isnt about AJ Vs. Gus.. This is about Gus.. AJ is just an addendum to the argument.

Are you serious? Feeley didnt back them up tp the goaline! Gus trying not once but twice to get the d to go offsides backed his own rear up to the goaline and the reason he threw to chambers cause thats all eh could do was throw it up lets quit with the Gus the savior/saint/miracle worker stuff !

Im handsome. :)

Its really not. Its more about Frerotte's history, and how people should be cautious in annointing him "the savior".. This thread is probably more productive than about 80% of the stuff on the front page right now.

It's because Feeley hasn't played enough to fail, but that doesn't mean he should play. Frerotte, up to this point, played better than Feeley in Miami, this year.

Feeley 4-7, 35 yds performance was outperformed by every other quarterback on the team, with the same players or lesser players against lesser players.

Now, you're looking for stuff, where did I say Feeley backed them up to the goal line?

How does performing as well with "lesser players against lesser players" mean outperforming a player who plays well with "greater players against greater players"..

This is the type of logic I simply do not understand.. they are still LESSER PLAYERS. You honestly think Berlin outperforms Feeley or Frerotte if he plays the with the first unit?

What is your defination of outperform? I mean they all got more reps adn got better blocking1 Feeley threw 7 times.....7 not 15 not 12...7 7 throws isnt enough to get any reasonable yards considerign 1 inc was a failed screen and the other was thompson hearing footsteps!

I'm not arguing, I'm debating. There is no anger in my tone, I want the best for the team. Frerotte > Feeley at this point.

No, Feeley didn't move the team down the field, he had 35 yards and no running game. Frerotte scored twice and then Rosenfels came in and scored. Then Berlin scored, Feeley didn't.

You said it, Gus dug the team out after feeley went down... Doesnt that imply that Feeley put them into a preverbial hole?

Do I need to bring this up AGAIN? Frerotte's LONE TD came when the ball slipped out of his hand and Gilmore makes an outrageous 180 grab.. Frerotte said he was trying to throw to a TE in the MIDDLE of the field.. the ball ended up like 20 yards in the opposite direction.. You are really going to credit that to him? Be my guest.. but it is what it is.. luck.

Other than that, I thought Frerotte played well.. I thought he recovered nicely after that guy missed that surefire tackle for a safety, even though he did underthrow Chambers (which is still unclear whether that was underthrown intentionally or not.. considering the story behind his TD pass)

Feeley had either better talent or the same talent and played against either the same talent as Frerotte, Frerotte drove Miami down the field.

Feeley could have 20-21 150 yards, with his dink and dunks, no TD's and 0 INT's, Frerotte could have 5-8, 62 yards and 1 TD, Frerotte would have outplayed Feeley, it's not hard. Scoring points matters, neither had a running game, Feeley left the game, Miami was losing. Frerotte came in, Miami was winning.

You were saying that Feeley was even outperformed by Sage and Brock who were playing against scrubs, which is obviously a ridiculous statement.

No, it means, Feeley got injured and the team rallied, it just so happens Frerotte came in and did what Feeley couldn't, move them down the field with the same players.

THey were playing with scrubs too.

We'll know as of game 2, if Frerotte can lead them down the field against Jacksonville, as a starter, then you'll have to admit Feeley isn't as good in this offense as Frerotte. If Frerotte does nothing and Feeley drives Miami's second team down, then they're even.
