Herbert Chokes Again

They did show a stat saying Herbert has the 2nd most 4th quarter comebacks in the NFL since 2020, so I think this choking thing is way overblown.

Herbert has played in 38 one-score games since he entered the league in 2020, second most in the NFL over that span. Herbert has gone 18-20 in those games, with four more losses than any other quarterback.

So you’re saying he only sucks for the 1st
3 quarters of the game? 🤣

Dude had a premonition that an infant in Hawai'i was to become the greatest QB of all time.

So, he predicted the birth of a child in an unknown land at a future, unspecified time, to play a game that had not yet been invented.

Your "insight is "something special".

Have you considered you running for Congress? - LOL

Lol I was sitting there on that final drive and just knew he would somehow choke it away and he did. Its kinda unreal tbh. The dude is talented but for some reason he just cant get it done. Crazy.
This.

So funny also when the broadcast flashes the graphic that Herbert has had 14 go-ahead/game-winning drives in his career. So what.

What they should flash up, and start keeping stats on, is how many BLOWN opportunities he or any QB has had. Would bring them down to earth just a a little bit, eh?

Good guy, but geez…

😁

He rarely throws the ball past 15 yards and when he does he throws it 50 feet over the guys head.
Exactly. His mid range to deep accuracy leaves much to be desired. So much so, his field was cut in half, and while rooting against him, I wasn't even worried about any deep throws. forget about dropping it in between coverage... We def dodged a bullet choosing Tua over this guy in the draft!

I wouldn’t want this dubious stat hanging over me for my career. That just means that you’re LOSING THE GAME before you have to be the hero (why do they have to highlight JUST THE QB?) and try to bring your TEAM back.

Meh…

I have been saying since the 2000 draft that the Dolphins made the right pick when they selected Tua instead of Herbert. Herbert and his ability to choke, along with the elite QB play of Tua clearly shows I was right and so was Grier.
I felt the same way when I was watching the 2000 draft as well. That year the Dolphins did not have a first-round pick (traded it to Carolina in '98 to draft Surtain in the 2nd round) but I kept wishing we had one so we could draft Tua. I remember logging onto an AOL chat room and told everyone: "That Tua kid is gonna be special even though Justin Herbert is already taller at 3'10"". But then we drafted Todd Wade as our top draft selection and I forgot all about this

Anytime a potential AFC playoff team loses, I am good with it, even if its at the hand of the cowgirls. I heard today that Herbert faced a ridiculous 48% pressure rate in the game. Thats incredible if the case.
Clearly TUA > Herbert on wins and losses. Looking forward to how TUA and the PHINS handle business against the boys Christmas Eve.

QBs are credited with 4th quarter comebacks regardless of how or when the team takes the lead as long as it was in the 4th quarter.

Tannehill was credited with a 4th quarter comeback one game when he threw a TD after it bounced off a DL helmet on the 1st play of the 4th quarter. That’s not a pressure situation.

Not saying some of Herbert’s aren’t legit, just there needs to be a narrowing of the stat to better reflect when the game is truly a pressure situation. Along with a stat that shows when QBs don’t come through.

I recall a few games when the game was on the line and big armed Tarzan (Herbert) threw like Jane with the game on the line costing the Chargers a win.
