Why bring @circumstances into this. And under much more difficult circumstances prior to the arrival of McDaniel.

AgreedThe media? There’s posters here just waiting in the shadows. Probably working on their Tua manifesto as we speak.
"Short term" Nostradamus. That's some kind of Nostradamus level **** you got goin' there.
They did show a stat saying Herbert has the 2nd most 4th quarter comebacks in the NFL since 2020, so I think this choking thing is way overblown.
Herbert has played in 38 one-score games since he entered the league in 2020, second most in the NFL over that span. Herbert has gone 18-20 in those games, with four more losses than any other quarterback.
Agree - a poor choice of "words" - but I was still Right. Why bring @circumstances into this.
So you’re saying he only sucks for the 1stThey did show a stat saying Herbert has the 2nd most 4th quarter comebacks in the NFL since 2020, so I think this choking thing is way overblown.
Dude had a premonition that an infant in Hawai'i was to become the greatest QB of all time.
This.Lol I was sitting there on that final drive and just knew he would somehow choke it away and he did. Its kinda unreal tbh. The dude is talented but for some reason he just cant get it done. Crazy.
Exactly. His mid range to deep accuracy leaves much to be desired. So much so, his field was cut in half, and while rooting against him, I wasn't even worried about any deep throws. forget about dropping it in between coverage... We def dodged a bullet choosing Tua over this guy in the draft! He rarely throws the ball past 15 yards and when he does he throws it 50 feet over the guys head.
I wouldn’t want this dubious stat hanging over me for my career. That just means that you’re LOSING THE GAME before you have to be the hero (why do they have to highlight JUST THE QB?) and try to bring your TEAM back.So you’re saying he only sucks for the 1st
3 quarters of the game?![]()
I felt the same way when I was watching the 2000 draft as well. That year the Dolphins did not have a first-round pick (traded it to Carolina in '98 to draft Surtain in the 2nd round) but I kept wishing we had one so we could draft Tua. I remember logging onto an AOL chat room and told everyone: "That Tua kid is gonna be special even though Justin Herbert is already taller at 3'10"". But then we drafted Todd Wade as our top draft selection and I forgot all about thisI have been saying since the 2000 draft that the Dolphins made the right pick when they selected Tua instead of Herbert. Herbert and his ability to choke, along with the elite QB play of Tua clearly shows I was right and so was Grier.
QBs are credited with 4th quarter comebacks regardless of how or when the team takes the lead as long as it was in the 4th quarter. They did show a stat saying Herbert has the 2nd most 4th quarter comebacks in the NFL since 2020, so I think this choking thing is way overblown.
Obviously he doesn't choke all the time, that's the pointSo you’re saying he only sucks for the 1st
