Hurricane Irma Only thread

Waking up to tornado warnings is never fun. I have a view of Fort Lauderdale facing south west from coral ridge so I'm keeping a lookout for tornados. Don't see any, lots of wind and rain though.
 
How does the west coast keep getting walloped by these hurricanes? Just so unlucky... :(
 
Stuck at work down in south Miami (hospital). Wonder if anyone can tell me what it is like in Hollywood, FL. I'm a couple blocks east of I95 and just off of Hollywood Blvd. Hate to get home on Monday and find out a tornado took off the roof. It would be bad enough if I lost power and all the food and insulin in two refrigerators is history.

Yeah some of these warnings are only systems that can produce a tornado based on their measurements.

Always feel for those who have to work in a crisis :( hope everything is fine when yoi get home, its the least you deserve
