Once again you have no point. If a defense gives up 0 points per game but the team loses every game because the offense gives up scores, does that make them a bad defense?????

i agree with the original poster to some point but, i think you have to have some kinda running game to have a passing game and vice versa. i also am a firm believer in running the ball when you get out ahead by a few td's and running out the clock, not running up the score.

Well the only way I can see this offense working is to open it up a bit. We have to start giving Chambers a chance to make plays down field, otherwise we'll never get the run established, not without a Pro-bowl back and stellar O-line.

Norv Turner attempted to run the type of offense you want. They didn't have the OL for it to be successful last year. Chambers did have 11 TD receptions.

The team went 10-6 with an OL that started 3 players that are no longer in the NFL and a rookie LT.

Exactly my point. The passing game is what is needed. As for last year, Ricky had what 1300 yds? Hmm, remind me other then Ricky's first year when we got even close to that much less over 1,000. That's an awesome year compared to our history. Hell, 1,000 was awesome when Lamar got it. My point is it got us no where and as you stated, the passing game failed us.

having an opinion that is out of this world in an attempt to sell himself is just stupid. What was he on when he said the fins would have the best passing game in the league w/ fiedler throwing the ball? Does he honestly believe that the fans are that stupid?

My point is, don't make stupid predictions you can't achieve especially if all you know is how to run a defense and and know nothing about running an offense. Not a single defensive minded coach predicted that their D will be better than the fins of 73 exept for Wanny. Not even Bellichick nor Parcells .Geez, the 73 D is the reason the fins is the reason the fins went undefeated.

How do you guys feel? I think that our talent is definitely slanted to a passing game and we can pass the ball and win. I personally feel its silly to try to squeeze a passing quarterback, a pass catching tight end and talented receivers and relegate them to blocking for a running game that is just not there. Maybe balance for this team is overrated and we need to accept the talent on hand.

IMO It would be best for the team to havea BALANCED attack..With Wanny as the head whatever he sure dose'nt understand that word balanced...
Once we get a REAL coach in this organization,only then will we be a balanced team..Wanny is nothing more then (Words from a Good Movie, HeartBreak Ridge) Clusterfu(k.

I may be new to the board, but I am extremely curious as to why nobody has asked for a link or proof of this post. I listened to a couple of Wanny's press conferences and did not hear this comment. Could someone please direct me to where this was found? Call me crazy, but this seems like bs.

Find me a link where he said they would have the best passing game in the league. He never said that.

That and 2 1000 yd rushers......HOF QB, HOF WR, HOF FB, HOF Guard, HOF center...... They had FIVE HOF players on the offense. Sure, it was just the defense.....
