Is Channing Crowder a Rick Speilman prospect?

Not sure I buy the dress code story. As I heard it, it would be pretty ridiculous. First of all... dress code in a bar in IOWA? I thought you could wear windpants and cellophane.

Secondly, dress code for a FOOTBALL PLAYER? I don't think so. Here in Ann Arbor, even the second-stringers do whatever the hell they want at Ricks.

Thirdly, I feel like, given the prior two comments I made, they'd just ask him to fix it, not line up single-file in a bouncer gauntlet.

Now this doesn't change my opinion of Roth. In fact, it's really impressive. But I think the story needs tweaking.
I live in Iowa City and was in Ann Arbor a year ago. Your right there isn't a bar in Ann Arbor that has a dress code. You could just crawl out of the van your living in down by the river and walk into any bar in town and blend right in. GO HAWKS

Is Channing Crowder a Rick Spielman prospect?

Only someone uninformed would think so...................................

Quote:
"The rest of the choices were veritable layups. Brown had pounded the LSU defense, and Saban knew how difficult it was to prepare for him. Second-round defensive end Matt Roth of Iowa had played against LSU in this year's Citrus Bowl. Linebacker Channing Crowder of Florida, who had a pair of sacks against LSU this season, had been unsuccessfully wooed by Saban as a high school senior. This time, Saban didn't have to sell Crowder on playing for him. He just had to choose him."

I think it should change people's opinion about Rick, not crowder. The guy made two mistakes (well three) as I see it. One of those mistakes (feeley) can still work out, the other two are unforgivable, giving up a fourth for a guy to move up one spot, and being a member of the dolphins org, while wanny was there, those are things that some people will never forgive, and that is what is sad.

He made a lot more mistakes than that, but frankly I'm tired of discussing him, he'll probably be gone soon.

Did it drive you crazy all weekend that I wasn't responding??

Here ya go Bluefin,.... you were right Saban ws the only one who made any decisions or recomendations on draft day. Rick Speilman was somewhere getting his nails done.

Happy now, sunshine? Is your internet ego stoked well enough or do I need to tell you how handsome you are too.

Oh wait.....how about this....:allhail:

Why would Rick be giving a quote if Saban was there?

So, if Saban wasn't there. then Crowder was scouted and recomended by Rick Speilman. I know Saban has last say and knew Channing well but, this is still a little interesting.

Crowder is a wild man like Bua and Pope from last year. Except for his size he's exactly the kind of LBer Rick seemed to like.

Does that change your opinion about Crowder?

If Ric picked him instead of Nick I am gonna be so pissed that I will NEVER pull for him. Now I hope he doesn't even make the team!! :shakeno: :shakeno:
I am not sure anyone is that worried over where the talent came from as long as it is talent. I really can't imagine anyone getting THAT worked up over it. Some on this board MAY however be quicker to point fingers if there is another knee injury, if Ric instead of Nick made the call. Some people here are just that immature. There are still people here who want AJ to fail just so they can be right.....not that I am calling any names. :roflmao: :roflmao:

I think you and Blue should settle this is the ring. I would be willing to pay to see it. I think you would probably take him in the ring with all that pent up anger you have, from him wearing you out in all his arguments. Surely you can win at something

I think you have them mixed up. InFins couldn't care less, and he certainly doesn't have pent up anger.

Maybe you should stick around a little longer before making a comment like that. :shakeno:

What are you going to do to afford it, trade your food stamps for cash?

Thanks Bill...I appreciate your post.

It's obvious with whom the anger issues are associated. :)
