It's common for many fans, and not just ours. Most fans base opinions on what they watch and highlights/lowlights with any bad play far exceeding any good play, and one play can make a player SUCK, with the other 60 or so not mattering.
My favorite example was here in the first preseason game (I think). Miller fumbled, and got RIPPED TO SHREDS. He sucks, need to cut him, etc, etc. It was comical, and got even funnier when the replay showed that it was not his fault. LOL
Miller has been overrated on this forum from the day he was drafted because of where he went to college, its a fact. Until the bubble was well and truely burst last season there was a horrendous amount of hype about him on here.
I agree to give miller another shot. My thing is we have a question mark going into next year no matter who we get on the offensive line lamar miller is literally a one cut back with speed. We need another rb with some cut back moves and some better vision.. I dunno if moreno is that guy but I believe we do need to draft that kind of back in the draft..Ryan will be so much better with a solid and explosive running game.I would like to see Miller get a chance with a little better o-line now that he has a little time under his belt.before we kick him to thhe curb. Look at the strides Clay made over time. Not every player is going to reachhis potential year 1 or 2 IMO.
moreno runs hard and plays with passion. miller runs soft and seems to have the demeanor of the head coach we unfortunately have. id take moreno any day of the week over miller and thomas combined. sign moreno and draft tre mason in the 2nd round and make the rb position a true strength of the team. it will take pressure off tannehill and open the pa pass for the deep ball to wallace. wallace was open every game deep last year and we had a very poor running game. the whole team benefits from a ground game.
But the metrics suggest he’s not clearly better than Miami’s other backs in breaking tackles.
Last season, Moreno averaged 2.0 yards after contact, which was tied for 39th among 55 backs, according to Pro Football Focus. Who was he tied with? Daniel Thomas, whom Moreno presumably would replace. Lamar Miller was 31st at 2.1.
### Moreno broke or avoided 21 tackles --- the same number as Thomas and one more than Miller, despite having considerably more carries than both. Those 21 were 29th most among running backs. Seattle’s Marshawn Lynch, conversely, had 75 broken or avoided tackles.

That would depends on Miller development as a receiver.I do agree that being a Cane does matter, as it should. However, Miller did flash well in his first year, with his second being disappointing.
Moreno played well last year, was a #1 pick, and played with the best O in the history of the game, a HOF QB, and a fair OL in the run game.
Miller was not as good, was a mid round pick, and played , in our O, with a developing QB, and the worst run blocking OL in the history of the Dolphins.
I have to wonder how each would perform if their situations were reversed. Think Moreno would have been anywhere near as good in Miami or, would Miller have been as disappointing in Denver?
A little food for thought.
Those are the same guys that say this...Our fans crack me up. We have a 1,000 yard back who wants to come play for our team, who also has about 500 yards receiving, and all our fans can do is bitch about him. LOL!
Moreno may run hard but he doesn't break many tackles.
Moreno is a complimentary running back and until this past season had not shown he was better than either Miller or Thomas.

PFF has him rated as the #8 pass blocking RB while Miller and Thomas are in the 30's. I don't have a subscription but this is what Jackson wrote. Where are you seeing information that he won't be an upgrade at pass blocking?
