Jeff Janis amongst Browns' first wave of cuts

Browns released WR Jeff Janis.

Janis appeared in all 16 games for the Packers each of the past three seasons but could not crack the rebuilding Browns' 53-man roster. Janis caught three balls for 47 yards in the preseason. The NFL is simply never going to be as high on Janis as "football Twitter." It's a shame. Janis' special teams ability should get him a look elsewhere.
Could be our 6th WR right there

Ladarius Gunter - DB - Free Agent
Panthers waived CB Ladarius Gunter.

He was among 16 Panthers let go on Friday. Gunter started 15 games for the Packers in 2016 but only saw the field four times with Carolina last season. He'll look to latch on elsewhere as a special teamer and backup cornerback.

Intrigued by Gunter if we're cutting Lippett

Truthfully I’d hard pass on rg3. Too much change in the offense ask and too much limitation with the play call.

Easy pass. He's finally learned how to slide, otherwise too many awful instincts. His play in the red zone was often comical when we played them...like he was trying to box himself in with no positive options

Griffin is a great thrower of the football, but I agree. Just not a good football player outside of a specific scheme. Not a good fit for us.

It's a shame, because if he had done what the Shanahans begged him to do -- protected his body and tried to learn to be a progression quarterback -- he really does sling the football extremely well.

Griffen would have done better for himself if he learned to slide before he lost that rediculous stop start quick acceleration that carried him thru his rookie year with Washington.

All he did was scrape his shelf life.

We have so many WR's... what we need is better LB's and DT's and back up QB... Jonathan Hankins or Scooby Wright... or anyone at those positions but not WR or RB or Safety.

No need for anther slot. Good soild back up for a team needing a slot back up. But not here is a good fit.

Broncos waived CB Brendan Langley.
Langley was a third-round pick in last year's draft. He made 11 rookie appearances, but failed to move the needle. The Broncos also waived 2017 third-round WR Carlos Henderson on Saturday. That's not a good draft.
