Looks like our cap is getting tight!

You are different, no doubt about that, if you are here to preach about Grier's virtues then your *** needs to go or bring something tangible to the conversation. I have a long way to go and might bitch all night, stay at your peril or don't read at all I don't give two ****s.
...you are irrelevant.

Celebrate your irrelevancy!

Just like your icon, name and shtick.

(yet another to ignore)

I'm not happy. We had the cash to sign at least one top tier FA at a position of need at either WR, OL, pass rusher or FS and they did absolutely nothing of note. They better add at least one player that can change the game in FA and slaughter this draft going forward, otherwise this looks bad for our 2021 prospects.
We needed to get better on D in a couple spots and we REALLY needed to help Tua. We got better up the middle on D but our pass rush is status quo or worse with Lawson and KVN gone, and we did absolutely nothing to help Tua. This Foster signing HAS TO BE a Specialist Teams signing because he isn't better than ANY of the top 5 or 6 receivers on our roster, and that's pathetic... Because or WR corps blows. Obviously.

Can't force people to take what you're offering.

It's a staring contest right now.

We need to sign a veteran center (hopefully Andrews), but none of the WR options in this FA period made my toes tingle, and especially not for break-the-bank money.

That's not on us.

Please do, ignore I mean, you strange ? Whatever you are, If you look like your Icon I can only pray for you. I never pay you any mind to begin with just a shrug of my shoulders and a dismissal of your quirkiness some would say, to me idiocy but whatever.

As for shtick, yours is a bunch of garbled, look at me with my spacing, pretty ironic you calling someone out, goodnight.

90% of these deals that are handed out are rip offs for the team so I don’t mind being stingy. Just look at Byron Jones, love him or hate him, he’s not worth that contract, that’s just a fact, but you always overpay
in free agency.

We need to start hitting more often on draft picks

No doubt about that, just don't trust this FO to do that.

As the team sits currently constructed, we would need the greatest draft class in NFL history to make us contenders.

Karras wouldnt have taken 4 from us.
When we cut Van Noy, I think Karras started packing, too.
Perhaps.

$4 here comes out to more in pocket than 4 in NE.

I think he took the $3 last year to parlay it into a multi-year deal.

Didn't work.

The only impact players we really lost is Van Noy, Lawson, and Karras. We all knew we were moving on from Davon during the season.
So far we added a pro bowl ILB, first round OT, and a whole lot of depth. Free agency is still active too so slow your roll and relax.

Trust me brother, I NEVER get my hopes up when it comes to Grier and drafting anything resembling a playmaker. I am scared to death this fool will trade out of 3 but too far down to get one of Chase, Pitts or even Smith. The Phins drafts have never failed to disappoint.
I’m with you. He’s afraid to go for the playmaker or something. So we end up w guys like Charles Harris, Jared Odrick, all of last year’s picks, etc. I know Odrick is a long time ago but I think we took him no 10 or so. My point is, in the time Grier has been involved in the draft process - be it behind the scenes or running it - we’ve only taken big time players when they fell into our laps because we were picking top 5-7 or so. Case in point w Tua. After that he seems to go into a prevent defense type style of picking. Always reaching just a tad early for guys, taking projects (that rarely work out), etc. It’s not like every player stinks it’s just that we don’t get big time play makers that the best teams hit on. Like just once can we nab a Travis Kelce or a WR like the guy on the Saints or a Derrick Henry. We love moderate ceiling corn fed linemen on both sides of the ball. Right now we have so many young o-linemen (again) that I don’t want to see one drafted. I don’t care how good they project. Work with and develop the guys we have. And if at least 2 of them don’t become better than average players you should be fired. This draft we need playmakers, playmakers and more playmakers. Heck, our FA “haul” was roster filler and depth. He had better draft some guys who can contribute right away. I’m rapidly losing my patience w him.

That’s 3 starters who played well that we lost. The ILB we got only played 4 games last year. I don’t know when he made the pro bowl but it wasn’t in recent times. I would have kept KVN for sure - he’s a difference maker on D. The Lawson trade, ok, I guess we’ll see.

Losing two of our more effecitive pash rushers and not replacing them will hurt us a ton IMO. The plan could not have been to replace Van Noy and Lawson with nothing.
