Anyways...you would agree that he needs to close the deal on this one? No excuses.

Washington means he competes straight up with Eli
Arizona means Ross is competing with the Bidwells
NYJ means a sportsman like Manning would be playing for a douche like Ryan
KC? Come on...
Seattle is not a fit...

Ross needs to get this done. A veteran OC like Sherman is huge in this as well.

Is it just me or has Schefter said EVERY big FA or coach will most likely end up in Miami these past few years? lol
 
I sure hope you guys are not setting yourselfs up for a big let down.....yes, I do believe we're going to get him....the let down I'm talking about is everyone seems to think we're getting the Manning of old.....what if we're just getting the "old" and hurt Manning? Trust me, I'll be rooting for him like I always root for opur Dolphins but I sure hope we're not letting other options slip away just to have Manning play for a couple of years if that.

It probably will drag out. The physical will take a few days at least as it will probably be done by several sources. It'll be about the same wait we had for Brees. Hopefully with different results though.

great point about Sherman. of the rumored teams, he is as good as it gets
 
it's gonna take a couple of weeks. I still think the Fins do their homework on his neck. that won't happen over night
 
We'd be mad to sign him tomorrow.

We need to do a full analysis of his current situation.

I have trouble believing the Colts would release one of the greatest QBs of all time if there wasn't something wrong with him. #1 pick or not, I think if Peyton is 100% healthy they'd trade the pick (+ rights to A.Luck) for a bullet load of picks in return and make two or three runs at the superbowl with Peyton.
 
Former Raven's Coach Brian Billick, on the NFL Network, is making it sound like Peyton may not be able to adopt to other NFL systems, and that teams who want Peyton are going to have to change to meet Peyton's demands, and change their offense to fit him. Billick is like the turd you can't flush.

I would hope the homework has already been done. I can't imagine that we were waiting for him to be released before doing some research. And any contract is going to be highly incentive laden.
