McDaniel’s issues

I hope so and I can see it 🐻
Yeap I know he made some errors but I think that inexperience. He is a awesome offensive mind and the playing group really likes the guy.
Someone like Jimmy Johnson a ex U legend and cowboys Sb coach and phins coach to lean on for different point of view even if just a mentor.

I'm OK with McD assimilating his Y1 HC experience and "really cool" using his supposed high IQ to figure a few things out in terms of efficiency and chaos management (a theory he should have some insight into).

That said, I'm talking about being ahead of the curve vs. the opposition -- being better prepared to make quick (effective) game adjustments and anticipating what the opposition can do with their strengths to subdue your strengths. I think he needs to address the O predictability and his reliance on just playing superior cards (i.e., Hill and Waddle) and add the RUN GAME as a staple -- tho I'm assuming there was a general lack of belief in our run game -- and hence OL problems relative to system preference and player capabilities (see the abandonment of the OZ). But our IZ was pretty good at times and WHY was Eichenbust inserted over Jones??? And for frogs snakes -- focking CUT Deiter when we're grabbing trash off the street rather than insert this kid!!! WTF was that?

OK, couldn't help myself. Sure seems there was some weird "personnel decisions" made that somehow smacked of Grier meddling... Just my impression.

Look I like him alot and his imo needs an old head in offensive coaching.
Not here to pick him apart but
* lack of adjustment in chargers game when that sat in passing lanes.
* bills game management when we had ball in the snow not running ball, that screen pass was the wrong play and probably cost us chance for field goal attempt.
* clock management issues in bills wildcard game.
* pre snap movement penalties in particular on lineman.

I agree! I hereby nominate Wade Phillips - son of Bum. "He can take his'n and beat your'n and take your'n and beat his'n". Blast from the past. Don Shula - winningest coach in NFL history!

Another of Bum's famous quotes - "You fail all the time, but you aren't a failure until you start blaming someone else" Words to live by.

As a coach I get why he had those issues. Sometimes there are just two voices in your ear and it creates doubt. Plus you got several coaches in your ear talking to each other over the headset.

There needs to be a process to streamline that communication. It's easier said than done. It's not as simple as analysts think as there are several different moving pieces
Right. Just need to find a way to streamline it.

Wade hit it right on that . Gonna be hard to beat Don Shula. I just want one more super bowl before I die. I hit it right with the Boston Celtics and Atlanta Braves , but my heart is set on the Miami Dolphins my most beloved sports team and I have no doubt they got one more in them before I go. 🐻

The play calling process is too slow. I don’t know the lingo, but it has to be changed if it takes that long to relay it. Another solution would be to put the plays on a numbered wrist band. The process has to be sped up.

I think the Shanahan scheme is in part WCO based. This particular philosophy has some lengthy verbiage IIRC.

Just listen to his press conferences and that should tell you why he couldn't get the play in on time
Well I dunno sounds like excuses. You gotta be better prepared in a game especially playoff games.

McDaniel may be too verbose - like in his pressers where we rambles and pauses to figure out what to say etc. Perhaps he’s too slow to process thought to words / playcall idk 🤷‍♂️

What I found odd was why wasn't Skylar taking off and running 🏃 with green in front of him. For the last game anyway, i look for McDaniel to address the clock management situation before next season.
Perhaps our backup wasn't really available, and Skylar was told not risk any injury?? Otherwise no really good reason as a young QB's often rely on their legs.

I was just joking...
