WOW this thread is a year old...too much $$ and TO stated he wanted a quarter back to throw the ball to him, and we still do not have that....

ya know, bostons true potential could easily rival T.O.

just thought i'd throw that out there...

You are right could, the only question is Can Boston stay healthy? I would not want TO on this team at all. He is the perfect example of Leon, there no we in team either. No Thanks to TO. All he cares about is himself.

Easily, does anyone else remember Owens coming into the NFL as a 3rd round pick?

Spielman's biggest mistake was not pulling off a deal for Terrell Owens. Say what you want about the guy's talent. But his character is so high it could only serve to elevate the Dolphins as an organization and the south Florida Community as a whole. Especially now that WR is our weakest position. We have undervalued this position for too long.
He wouldn't have to hold out with us, because Drew Rosenhaus (Whom I'm throwing my support behind for next new Pope) has so many of our players under contract anyway. And Saban would surely give him what he is worth. Which in my opinion should be in the top 10 in the league, ahead of most QB's and more than the best RB or shut down corner. When they have great games WR's touch the ball 10 times in a game. How can you not pay this guy at least 100K per reception?
And back to the character issue, people should applaud T.O. for fighting for workers rights. After seeing T.O. at halftime of tonights pre-season snooze fest I'm going in to work tomorrow to tell my boss "No, you shut up!" He is truly an inspiration. Viva La T.O.!!!!!

You have got to be kidding me right ?? After the interviews with he and that Punk Drew....give me a break....the guy is a cancer and doesn't deserve to be on ANY team...

I never thought I would say something like that, but something about the interview at halftime of the SD/GB game made me think.

The Eagles are tightwads bigtime.
I believe Andy Reid just lost his cool.
I believe they are out to screw TO and his contract and make him miserable.

I have more problems with that than I do TO's antics. TO is the best WR in the game (you could argue Moss and Harrison ect.) and he is paid less than the top ten? The dude was a hero for coming back at his own risk for the SB.

I think Saban could turn his crap around and Rosenhaus would be a nice connection (even though I hate his ***, and TO for that matter) but somehow, I think TO and Ricky would make us look like real dips to the media, but then start kicking some serious ars! The only problem is that we would have to give up alot and we already did that for ricky. Very Very risky, but damn...............I think I would pull the trigger if something could be worked out.

OK, you're crazy....

Have you guys ever heard of the word "sarcasm?" Anybody that actually took this guy seriously needs help. Relax. He was kidding. It was funny. Jeez.

Everyone hates TO, but I definately see his point of view. He signed a contract so he should honor it many people have stated, but NFL teams don't honor contract, so the people who state that are hypocritical, IMO. Say all ya want about TO, but he's the best WR in the league not named Randy Moss. For the person who said JT would take care of TO, I really don't think so, have you see the guy, he's probably in the best shape of any NFL player. Owens is better than any WR on the Phns by far, but unfortunately, I don't think he'd be very happy with the Qb situation. The Eagles need TO, which is the funniest part, they've got Lewis and probably Reggie Brown to start if he doesn't show up, not exactly great combo.

He's never quit on a team, which can't be said about Ricky Williams, which is far worse than anything TO has done.

In the ultimate team sport, why would anyone want such a malignant force in their locker room?

I actually support T.O. Hes the best player Philly has and both sides know it. However, i hate how everyone around Philly acts like T.O. was a saint before he go to them. Any 49ers fan will gladly say his antics and stupid comments are well worth the game he puts on the field.

Anyone who called that situation a trade is wrong. It was a settlement. The 49ers were clearly going to lose the grievance and they wanted to at least come out with something.

First of all TO would have rejected any trade to the Dolphins..... remember the Baltimore Ravens supposely got TO... then they had to make a compromise.

2nd... even if we could get him this year... why... he is the biggest distraction there is in the NFL..... and second who are we going to trade talent wise that would even make sense...
Did you really just say
First........
2nd..........
and second..........?

This reminds me of "Home Alone".

wow.....this is truly...an ignorant post...but moving along...

You guys(and girls) dont realise how much of a genius Andy Reid was....TO didnt want to go to Baltimore....and He wanted to come to Philly...TO was so desperate he knew he signed a contract that would bite him later on.....and Now Andy Reid has the upper hand because he knows TO's options are very slim and he would have to retire and sit out a year or Buy out his contract
