Merged: Cops Report: T.O. tried to commit suicide

[SIZE=+2]Police report: Terrell Owens attempted suicide

NEWS 8 EXCLUSIVE

According to a Dallas police report obtained by News 8, Dallas Cowboys star receiver Terrell Owens attempted suicide Tuesday night.

The report says Owens was depressed and reportedly took prescription pain pills. A woman companion states that she observed him putting two pills in his mouth.

According to the police narrative, the woman said the prescription of 40 pills was filled on September 18 andâ€â€until Tuesdayâ€â€Owens had taken only five pills.

The police report said Owens was asked if he had taken the rest of the prescription; Owens said, "Yes."

According to the report, police also asked if he was trying to harm himself. Owens answered, "Yes."

Owens was treated at Baylor University Medical Center.

A Dallas Cowboys spokesman told News 8 the team has no comment on the police report, nor is any news conference scheduled.

The scene he puts on, or what Philly fans will do/say during the game?

They booed Santa Claus. They cheered when Michael Irvin was temporarily paralyzed on their field. Can you imagine the signs, the heckling, and the chants if T.O. takes the field after this?

Is thre anything on him being put on a type of IR??

If he isn't able to play again this season, he would be eligible for the reserve/non-football injury list, and it would be Dallas' discretion whether to pay him. San Diego chose not to pay Steve Foley after the cop shot him and I don't think the Dolphins are paying Manny Wright after his meltdown.

it'll be the exact opposite. because owens would have some huge press conference where he cries and says "i need help" and then everyone would feel bad for him. but i doubt he's back by then.

pretty sad. who here hasn't had a loved one commit suicide. Mental illness, depression, anxiety, et al are such a part of human life now, I think I don't know what to think. Sad, sad, sad. Keep your chin and spirits up FH peeps.

I haven't. So I don't know what it'd be like, but I can say I wouldn't wish that, even on TO.

how anyone can defend TO is beyond me. Really, I just don't get it. The guy is a loser and a scumbag.

Ricky Williams points and laughs at TO because he is such a fool.

Hopefully TO gets locked up in the funny farm and never plays NFL football again. He really shouldn't be near a football field. He has much bigger problems

Dallas won't give him a dime and they will probably try to rid themselves of him. Just flat out cut or release him.

With this the Cowboys season is over. He has brought the dog and pony show. The circus if you will to Dallas just like he did in Philly. Every question is about TO. Every issue is about TO. That lockeroom will be split over this. Guys who feel sorry for him vs guys who want him gone. He has ruined their season.

Jerry Jones will probably get rid of him. Maybe give him some money, but damn sure nto all of it.
