KC had a strong team that year in a weak division.

The not-so great Matt Cassel posted a 19-28 W/L record in KC and was benched in favor of Brady Effin' Quinn after going 1-7 his final year there. The not-so-great Matt Cassel was released by KC. The not-so-great Matt Cassel went 4-5 in Minny.

He's not terrible. He's a solid back up on most teams and has the occassional stretch of wins in him.

Charles Haley didn't do too much wrong other than shun reporters and it cost him.
Some of these people who pick don't like the patriots anyway and this could give them ammo to give Brady the Charles Haley treatment.
Not saying he wont get in, but they could make him squirm a little depending on what he does here.

My favorite punishment for the Patriots would be the following:

No suspension for Brady but a warning that any further circumventing of NFL rules will result in a lifetime ban. Cheaters can't quit so hope he digs his own grave.

Patriots vacate the 2015 Superbowl win. Removed from record books and official NFL history.

Patriots lose all 2016 draft picks.
Bill Bellichock forced to host "The Science Guy" on volumetric air pressure.

Kraft forced to publicly apologize to the NFL and fans, failure ending in forced sale of the team.
 
One thing not discussed is the NFL mishandling of the sting operation on AFC Championship day.

Why didn't they retest the balls before the game started?

Maybe they thought the Patriots were changing them after the game started. But still, they should have been rechecked before the game.
Then they could have documented the issue and aired the balls back up. In doing so the 1st half would have been played with regulation balls.
Could you imagine the egg of the face of the NFL if that game had been 27-3 in favor of the Patriots at halftime and the final score ended up being 27-24?
That could have blown up in their face. Not very well thought out IMO.

That's the main problem. Brady believes he did nothing wrong. Hes guilty of telling the ball boys to deflate. But he doesn't think that's wrong. Why can't the POS just own up to it. He would look so much better

Its totally bull that they have a rule in place that teams can handle their own balls. Make everyone play with the same ball and restrict team access to the balls pregame
 
From many media reports it sounds like Brady might be suspended for 6 games. If so, his first game back would be (you guessed it), Thursday Night in Foxboro vs our Miami Dolphins...
