texasPHINSfan said:Guys, Frerotte played against the Steelers first-team D (the one that was the best in the league last year), and he had 4-5 dropped passes from his receivers.
Feeley played against the 3rd string Pitt D, AND the playcalling was drastically different - all quick dumps and outs. look at the yardage on those plays - 3 yards, 4 yards, 4 yards... they were all garbage plays that we called b/c the Pitt DBs were playing off us 5 yards. not hardly showing a "great QB" at all.
The frerotte fumble that stung was the fumble for TD, but that was a HUGE collapse by the o-line and no one seemed to block anybody. the same would have happened to feeley.
This game did nothing to sway the QB batle in either direction guys...
The same could be said for AJ against Chicago and he woulfdhave been 5 for 7 instead of 4 for 7 (derrius drop )and in position to score on our opening drive. The stats are the stats and without all the numbers in front of me they are about sub 50% completion for Gus above 60% completion for AJ, one interception to none favor Gus, 2 fumbles to none favor AJ., 3 points to none favor Gus. Now is there a clear cut winner here? One more game AJ to start and lets see who steps up.
