Merged: Jason Cole: "Ricky will return.."/If Ricky comes back, he's here to stay?

If a good teams running back goes down early, and TRicky is back in shape, they will be more than willing to trade a 2nd for him, and thats plenty.

This year? I believe they would take a more proven commodity in Travis Henry, Sean Alexander, or Edge before taking Ricky Williams who must prove he can still play after a year off.

While Ricky may recoup some trade value for next season, I cant see a team giving up a 2nd this year for him, if they could have one of the others, who remain proven, instead.

Oh Skaaaaaape, did you see that PM I sent you a while back?

If you say no, just let me know, no big deal.

I just want to know if you saw it.

Lets say LT goes down in week 4, for the year. SD has already invested mega money in him. Edge, and Alexander want big money too so they will not be options. Henry or Williams, with Williams probably being the cheapest on the market makes me think a second next year would be very possible.

I usually agree with you but this is just wishful thinking. Maybe you throw away a second day pick to gamble on Ricky Williams.

Possible, but it would have to fit in a very narrow window of time.
Ricky serves a 4 game suspension, which means his first game in which he could show he still has it would be Oct 16th at Tampa. Any team interested in Ricky after seeing him play would have to get a trade done sometime Monday the 17th because Tuesday the 18th is the trade deadline.

Sorry guys, But that is a BS post. I just watched the show, and Cole is saying its a rumor from a good source. But he can't say for sure whether WIlliams is going to return. He said he didn't wanna get quoted by other News Sources, and end up looking like a fool. So it's still up in the air.
LOL welcome aboard you salad tossing punk

LOL, Pblove finally made his way here.

Good to have yah!!

This is all gonna be specultation till atleast July. It's gonna be funny to hear all the threads and rumors about it.

I think he will be back. But only time will tell. As far as this being BS. I won't be so quick to judge this one just so there won't be another Will POOLE Incident. I am not gonna kill the messenger here

I think wayne will step up to the plate and have some sort of deal with ricky that if he plays for x amount of years, then the 8.6 million dollar thing is wiped out. One more thing, why does a multibillionaire need 8.6 million back?

Sideshow Ricky :shakeno:

its not that a billionare wants 8.6 million back, its the fact that he doesnt want ricky to keep it on the principle that he left his team, and cost wayne so much money in consessions and merchandice.

You may be right, it could be wishful thinking, but I could go on as to how it could happen.

Did you mind trading a 3rd for Gordon last year out of desperation?

A narrow window, and desperation was why I said if a Rb on a real good team goes down around week4 that it could happen.

:D
