MERGED: Larry Johnson resigned!

I think this is a great move. They wanted to keep him but Vets money is auto if they make 53 and don't get cut.

Its a bit premature to assume Daniel Thomas "isn't readY". Clay is bothered by injury and if Hilliard is the primary FB, you only have 2 RB's on the roster. They needed a 3rd guy.

the only thing dt may not be ready for is goalline carries...he's timid at the goalline...but he's by far the most talented and best bet to get you yards inside the tackles rb up til the tight red zone and by tight i mean damn goalline...by far

if ljs eatin into his carries just another dumb par for the course decision by these guys...

Who gives up a 3rd 5th and 7th round pick for daniel thomas? You give up all that for a rb like ricky williams but daniel thomas? doh

Apparantely Miami gave up 2 first rounders to get Ricky . . . not a 3rd, 5th and 7th for a 2nd (Daniel Thomas).

Looks like Feinga still had some PS eligibility . . . which gives more insight to why Miami waived him. If Kearse made it to the PS, then Miami would need to cut some one to make this happen.

Well, this might explain thus morning's roster move: RB Daniel Thomas is not wearing shells or a helmet, and it appears he won't practice.

****, now he's hurt too?

****, now he's hurt too?

Damn

Makes even more sense now if Thomas is hurt as I'm sure Miami wanted to sign Larry Johnson after week 1, but had no choice if Clay is being bothered by the Hammy and DT is now banged up.

Stop with the reasonable thinking already... If I didn't know better, I would think that people on this board WANT Daniel Thomas to fail just so they can point to him as another reason to bash Spireland.

oh god...lj playin a major role...i just puked in my mouth a little bit

Come on hoosh, do you really think LJ will be that much of a step down from DT? Its more about the style of the runner than the runner himself. Bush is the speedy back out of the backfiled that can kill you in open spaces and DT was the big "between the tackles" north-south guy... LJ will play that role and I think former probowler/reformed a-hole with one last chance to save his career will fill it just as well as a rookie rb.

Glad to see LJ is coming back. Think he serves a good purpose as backup, short-yardage guy. Now let's ditch Spitler finally for somebody else now.....they won't though
