For those few who still support this franchise through this extended disaster, we need to be unified against this group and let them know by not giving them 1 penny... not tickets, no Jerseys nothing!!!!! We need an owner who cares about its fans and brings excitement to the team and a GM who is a bit more human than this tool. Ireland has to be the most disliked GM in the NFL and there are some bad ones out there. I prefer having Matt Moore over Smith at this point, Smith is pure garbage. Although i am not against not bringing in Flynn, i still cant overlook the fact that every FA out there seems to dislike our ownership/gm..... The change starts now! Have fun in an empty stadium fokerz!!!!!!

i dont live down there and i agree with the fans , and have been a fan for 28 years and i know one thing for sure , i dont care where you go denver , oakland ,kansas city , new orleans , washington , if they passed up as much talent and very needed possions as miamis frount office has there would be a riot in those citys . i think we need 2 miami dolphin teams , 1a for the fans that really care about wnning and not being mediocure and isnt afraid to take chances 1b where the fans dont give a hoot as long as they dont overspend and dont take chances no matter what and really dont care to be mediocure ......

Ross and Ireland aren't idiots. The idiots are the ones like the OP who keep whining that we can't sign every star player. No team can. Now we're hearing how bad they are because they wouldn't pay Flynnn some ridiculous contract to play in Florida. Well, i remember last year when they wouldn't overpay for Orton and that worked out pretty danged well as Matt Moore had a much better season than Orton. Manning wasn't coming here from the get go (and he's probably not going to survive one full season anyway), Flynn was overhyped, and Marshall was a problem child. The Phins are being smart and looking at all their QB options and not overpaying for garbage.

Matt Flynn: 10 million dollar guaranteed
Gibril Wilson: 8 million dollars guaranteed
Jake Grove: 14.5 million guaranteed
Ernest Wilford: 6 million dollar signing bonus

Clearly we are all about not overpaying bad investments. By the way, Ireland tried to pay Orton, Ross vetoed it. How much would that contract have been? 27 million over 3 years. And Matt Flynn's contract was the one that was "ridiculous".

its sad to say but i have to agree, hes gotta be the most gated gm in all sports right now. Worst then the lions old gm in 2005, i think we just fire him and move on, i dont see any positives in this guy like really what has he done for us??? time we get a better gm and a quaterback

Jeff Ireland is respected in league circles. This is an article full of biased opinion, not one based on fact.

This was addressed on 790 this am. While he is respected in league circles as a good scout and undrafted acorn finder, he is NOT respected by other players, so we may nail the draft but we will continually be duds in free agency
