NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Browns have had conversations with the Redskins about trading into the top five.
Cleveland sits at Nos. 12 and 19 in the first round, while Washington has the No. 5 overall pick. We suspect the Browns would be targeting a wide receiver, perhaps West Virginia's Kevin White. Per RapSheet, the Browns have "touched base with most teams" selecting in the top-ten picks. Cleveland is not one player away from contention, but this isn't an organization that has made many sensible moves since Jimmy Haslam took over as owner. Nothing can be ruled out.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Browns "covet" Oregon QB Marcus Mariota.
Rapoport reported earlier this evening that the Browns were exploring a trade into the the top 10 and have talked with the Redskins about a move up to No. 5 overall. That's unlikely to land Cleveland Mariota, who will likely be a top-two pick, and at the very least come off the board at No. 3 overall where the Jaguars would probably love to trade back. The Browns have ammo at their disposal.

Bud Dupree to the Raiders at #4 has so much momentum now that Ray and Gregory have dropped. That's late buzz I do very much believe

Missouri edge rusher Shane Ray was arrested Monday morning for possession of marijuana in Cooper County, Mo.
What a bonehead move by Ray, who was later released from county jail. His stock was already crashing some because of a foot/toe issue that may require surgery and force him to miss rookie minicamp. Early in the pre-draft process, Ray was talked about as a possible top-three pick. Now, he may find himself lasting until day two. Ray has a high motor but lacks ideal size at 6'3/249.

NFL Network's Albert Breer reports the Falcons are looking to trade up from No. 8 overall in Thursday night's draft.
Per Breer, the Falcons' target is an "impact defender." Atlanta badly needs pass-rush help. Florida's Dnate Fowler is widely viewed as the top edge-rushing prospect in this class and could come off the board as early as No. 3 to the Jaguars. Jacksonville may be a team looking to move back and acquire more picks.

Bill Polian on #Dolphins: 'Take Todd Gurley and don't look back' espn.go.com/blog/miami-dol…"-Polian believes Gurley changes Miami's offense.

:hclap:

So 3 surprise players are considered top 20 picks by "teams in the mid first" those players are Miami WR Phillip Dorsett, Florida State OL Cam Irving and Wake CB Kevin Johnson. Dorsett has just continued to impress everywhere he's been since the Senior Bowl and many feel he has the least amount of question marks after the top 3 WRs. Teams view Irving as a guy who can be plugged into any spot on the OL and be a starter, and Kevin Johnson has impressed in workouts and interviews while most CBs have not.

At least two teams, possibly more, have approached NY Jets about trading for Muhammad Wilkerson, per league source. Bares watching Thursday.

Asked about #UGA RB Todd Gurley’s ACL recovery. Dr James Andrews texted: “Great worker. Highly motivated, right on track for full recovery!”

the jets are crazy if they trade wilkerson...i call bs on that one...only way would be if his injury is a concern or something...so much crap floating right now

SI's Peter King says the Browns are "really hoping" Washington NT Danny Shelton is there at No. 12 overall.
The Browns "love" Shelton, a 6'1/343 Haloti Ngata kind of prospect. He'd be an immediate upgrade for a run defense that ranked 28th in YPC allowed last year. There's also talk that Shelton will have some role on passing downs after posting nine sacks for Washington last year.

One AFC personnel man says the Jaguars like Alabama WR Amari Cooper "more than they are letting on."
There continues to be a lot of smoke around Cooper to the Jags at No. 3 overall. Although they have Allen Robinson locked in at X, they've been desperately trying to surround Blake Bortles with as many weapons as possible. GM Dave Caldwell dumped a truckload of money on TE Julius Thomas and made an unsuccessful play for slot man Randall Cobb. Cooper can play both the slot and Z, much like incumbent Marqise Lee.

Yahoo's Charles Robinson says not to be surprised if Missouri WR Dorial Green-Beckham goes to Houston at No. 16 or Cincy at No. 21.
Thanks to off-field woes, Green-Beckham has been removed from "a lot" of draft boards. But there's a good chance someone takes a gamble early because of potentially dominant talent. Green-Beckham (6'5/237) has Kelvin Benjamin size but runs faster (4.49) and scored 12 touchdowns in 14 games as a sophomore in 2013. The Texans currently have Cecil Shorts penciled in opposite DeAndre Hopkins and the Bengals have Marvin Jones/Mohamed Sanu across from A.J. Green.

Saints coach Sean Payton reportedly "gushed" over Miami WR Phillip Dorsett.
After moving on from Jimmy Graham and Kenny Stills this offseason, the Saints are in the market for pass-catchers. Beat writer Mike Triplett calls wide receiver "the position most likely to be addressed at some point in the first three rounds." Dorsett is a bit similar physically to Brandin Cooks at just 5'9/185, but may be available on Day 2. He clocked sub-4.3 forties at his Pro Day and has drawn some DeSean Jackson comps.

Even though standout defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson has been a no-show at the Jets' voluntary offseason workouts, he is very much on the mind of other teams. At least two teams, and possibly more, have approached the Jets about trading for the 25-year-old Wilkerson, a league source told ESPN. Muhammad Wilkerson has been a no-show at the Jets' voluntary offseason workouts and has been seeking a new deal. More calls from teams are expected as Thursday night's draft gets underway, according to the source. Just as the Chargers don't plan to trade Philip Rivers and the Vikings don't intend to trade Adrian Peterson, the Jets don't plan to trade Wilkerson. But all of those teams are expected to listen to offers. It is up to another team to sway those clubs' thinking, which could happen in any of the cases.

Wilkerson could be the most attractive defensive player potentially available. Any team interested in acquiring him would have to weigh whether he is better than the player or players it could draft this week. Were he in this draft, Wilkerson would be considered a surefire top-10 pick, per one league executive. At 25 years old, Wilkerson is entering the prime of his career. He also has one year left on his current contract and is seeking a new deal, which has led him to skip the Jets' voluntary offseason workouts with new head coach Todd Bowles. The contract is the issue that could ultimately lead to a trade if the Jets travel down the path of a trade. Wilkerson is scheduled to make $6.96 million, the amount of his fifth-year option, this season.

When he recently was asked about Wilkerson's situation, new Jets general manager Mike Maccagnan did not sound overly concerned. "I don't really want to comment on if I'd like him to be here or not be here," Maccagnan said at a news conference. "I'm sure Mo is doing a good job, wherever he is, working out. But again, these are all voluntary, so he's not required to be here for them." ESPN.com Jets reporter Rich Cimini contributed to this report.
